Ceolskog - Autumn Walk in the Pureora Forest (Ambient Instrumental)

Not folk metal this time! I wanted an ambient, dungeon synth meets soft-rock song, with a waltzy-walky kind of feel... sort of thing. Not sure if that's what I ended up with, but whatever. I hope that it evokes, in your mind, images of hiking through temperate rainforests during the autumn (fall for you Americans). The Pureora Forest is a temperate rainforest, "recognised as one of the finest rain forests in the world". I have been hiking through it a few times, always during the autumn, I realised.
In 1946 Pureora Forest was one of the last native forests to be opened up for logging. Established in 1978, after a series of protests and tree sittings, the park is one of the largest intact tracts of native forest in the North Island and has high conservation value due to the variety of plant life and animal habitats available.
I'm a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Hamilton, New Zealand. My videos are a mix of music, and hiking the outdoors. Ceolskog is my folk metal / heavy metal / country rock (and some other genres) band. It is also the name given to this hiking and nature-themed KZbin channel. Ceol means music in Irish, and skog means forest Norwegian and Swedish. Gorgeous walk and I love the Autumn colours in the trees. I am always a bit sad when summer leaves us but those colours sure make up for it, cheers Alan

Thanks Alan. I'm usually quite glad when stinky summer goes, hahaha, although I do get a bit sad when autumn goes, it means winter is around the corner, haha!

Thanks Larry, I love autumn, only just got rid of summer in the last week or two, and it's already May (our version of November in the southern hemisphere, I guess, haha). I think most of the footage is from 2017.
