Great demonstration and video quality man. Feedback: Your focus on product is great. As a musician, I need to hear different genres to see what the speaker can do. Different genres fill out different frequencies profiles. I'd even throw in rock and jazz into the mix. Even a Solo piano or something. This is what other videos lack and yours would gain on KZbin.

Really well done. No way for us to know how precise your microphone is but the Charge 3 & 4 did sound very similar. I could hear occasional improvement with Charge 5. Thanks for very well done video, hope you get lots of views.

There seems to be an issue with your mic as the bass is not coming through well. Also you do not say what firmware version the charge 5 is running as the latest version 6 provides a significant improvement in the sound of the charge 5. Thanks.

The speakers are placed TOO closed to even notice if it's stereo or mono. Maybe a boombox 2 which is bigger and has more room can be noticed. The charge 5 is better in every aspect.

The Charge 2 plus sounds exactly like the Charge 3. The Charge 5 is capable of allowing the user to increase its base, and treble output using the JBL portable app. The Charge 5 is definitively a worthy upgrade if you’re in the market for one of these newer Bluetooth portable speakers.

Note that the Fidelity on the 5 will sound better overall simply because they use a separate hi frequency driver and a separate low frequency driver so the sound reproduction is going to be a more Dynamic Range..The 3 and 4 use a full range speaker to cover both the high range and low range production ..Separates are always going to give you a more Dynamic sound overall.Simply the 5 will out perform 3 and 4 through the music spectrum ..☮

Don't upgrade I have both charge 3 and xtreme 2 as well Charge 5 doesn't have more bass but less. The charge 4 is the best charge out of all of them if you ask me. Out of the xtreme series I prefer the 2 over the 3 just because the 2 is more open and it has slightly more bass

i got to say all of the speakers sound really good but the top two are the charge 5 and charge 3. the charge 5 is on top because the tweeter makes a BIG difference to the sound quality than just having drivers and the passive radiators. the charge three is the second, i just got to say i LOVE the stereo sound compared to mono, it just sounds so much better. the charge 4 is also very nice don't get me wrong i just think it is worse than the others (just having the single driver). for the prices that each speaker is going for (charge 3 around 99$ to 100$ usd, charge 4 120$ to 150$ usd, and charge 5 around 180$ usd) i would rather buy the charge 3 because it just seems like the best bang for the buck! while yes it uses older jbl connect and uses micro usb to charge it still seems very good to me!

Don't get me wrong I love the charge series their a good middle ground for the line of most popular jbl speakers ( flip , charge , Xtreme , boombox ) but honestly looking back at the charge 3 it just honestly looks older than it actually is... the design just seems old the passive radiators they went with is mainly the reason... like the charge 4 n charge 5 they look more modern and just better.. the charge 3 passives couldn't move out as much as the newer siblings the 4 n 5s can... but it's still a decent unit. I still got mine I just don't really use em anymore. I use my charge 5 more honestly than I do any of my jbl speakers even more than my xtreme 2s and xtreme 3s and boomboxs 😆 I just really like the charge 5s this go around

I own the charge 2 essential, aswell as 2 charge 5's..... the charge 2 has 40 watt and can take phone calls.... sound is very close to the 5....only not in full open.... the 2 cost me 88 euro , the 5 149 euro....the charge 2 was a very good deal to me.... can pair the C2 with my C5 via my s22 ultra from samsung.

These are **waterproof** IP67 rating. And you CAN link at charge 4 and a 3. I have 3 Charge 3s and my buddy has a Charge 4. We link them every time there's a get together. Beach, river, or party.

No, you can connect charge 3 and 4 with each other if you update the charge 3, but neither can connect to charge 5

I'm listening on a hegh end receiver with Bang and Olufsen speakers.. I couldn't tell a difference between them.. And because i have digital cable and digital sound system, there shouldn't be added distortion via the internet. I don't think it is worth the extra money to get te Charge 5... Glad the new Charge5 worked out well for you.. I'm still using my old ipod touch 3rd gen that is compatible with Charg3.. I just found out that the new Charge5 bluetooth isn't compatible. I don't know why they don't have compatibility with old bluetooth... I don't want to fill the landfill with components that work perfectly just because the new tech is not compatible.. that is the problem with not having software that doesn't include the new software. Lithium batteries are a bigDANGER to the environment because they cannot be recycled and are considered hazardous waste. Even if you take it to APPLE to "Recycle", they simply tell you they are when they are really just filling landfills with hazardous waste.. We need to think about new tech that are the same danger: wind, solar all use lithium that have a limited number of charge cycles before they become hazardous waste that pollute the earth.

I have owned charge 4 & charge 5. I PREFER CHARGE 4 FOR A BALANCED SOUND. The vocals are more open which I like than to have a slightly more bass in charge 5. I bought charge 5 for it's tweeter, as my play list has 90% of Sitar recital of the great maestro Vilayat Khan. But to my surprise while listening to sitar I still love the open sound of charge 4. The charge 5 has a bit extra treble, bass & slightly more sound output. BUT IN NO WAY THE CHARGE 4 IS INFERIOR TO CHARGE 5 IN SOUND QUALITY.
