This is a great track and I’m from NYC. I went to Ibiza when I was an exchange student in Barcelona. Visited this club and nothing in the states compared. Vibes were heavy all around and atmosphere was so rad man. Didn’t know Angie stone was that popular on Europe, she’s not too popular in the states 😅

@JL-nk1pc You are correct, most UK vocalists for Liquid D&B and 2step / UK Garage, pretty much have copied that exact vocal style from the American South Gospel Churches, they've literally studied it learned entire songs, recorded themselves and tweaked and their vocals untill they can totally imitate that particular sound, and not one person ever accused them of cultural appropriation. It even penetrated UK the pop market with acts like Gabriel and Heather Small.

The first time I ever see Carl I went to a club called Shoom at London Bridge and he was playing there and then a few weeks later I was on the South Coast in Brighton and some guys we met in a pub there said they had a proper rave on down there that night so we went along to the Zap club and there he was again... both were proper sweaty little places packed solid with ravers going nuts... 1988.
