In south Africa, we have 'aweh' (say a-weh) as a greeting, it's sorta a mix between Isixhosa/Zulu language and Afrikaans (Afrikaans being a Germanic language and a mixture of French, Dutch and English). We also have 'Howzit' as a more Afrikaans greeting and 'sharp' (say shap) as a more Isixhosa greeting.

at least when you make those mistakes its when you're already power crept to hell so its just funny rather than downright negative to your progression, unlike say buying a bait without checking the wave or having a particularly long shop and buying a bait after buying a weird ghost.

Nice, congrats! This is definitely a strong build, though I find it somewhat snowball-y - if it's going well you look invincible but if you fall behind on damage it's extremely hard to recover

Torture is an excellent but situational item - 4 healing per second is the same as roughly 40 regen, though turning off consumables is of course a large downside. The max HP is also great of course.

I think it would be cool to see, after the random-random series finishes, is to do guides on (or at least just try out) obscure but strong character-weapon combos. Things like Chunky w/ pruner, Jack w/ crossbow, and Cryptid w/ hand, are extremely powerful but definitely not something you would think about trying. Of course, assuming that they don’t show up in the random-random series.

strangely enough, when i was just starting out playing brotato on day one, i was picking crazy and shuriken as starting weapon but for some reason the shop never sells shuriken anymore for the rest of the run. idk if this a bug or something edit : i do sell the knife immediately on wave 1 and i was playing on difficulty 0.

Very weird! That sure sounds like a bug, unless you somehow got extremely unlucky! On Crazy with only shurikens in your inventory you should have about a 40% chance of *any* weapon in your shop being a shuriken, so if you stopped seeing them at all that's extremely odd

Why were you looking at melee damage for a ranged weapon?

Shuriken is unique - it's a ranged weapon, but it scales off of melee damage (you can see the sword rather than the bow in its damage scaling section). Some other weapons scale off of unusual stats as well (shield scales off of armor, for example) - always worth keeping an eye out for that!

I doubt this comment will be seen as this video is 3 months old BUT since you mentioned why you skipped "improved tools" I had to comment. You ended up getting a health turret that would've benefitted from that but got a worthless tier 1 item just in case you got a fairy. Sounds to me you shoulda got the improved tools

I think I never take torture, one of the worst items in the game for me.

IMO torture is situational, but very strong when it's right to take - 4 healing per second is the same as roughly 40 regen, so if you haven't found a lot of healing up to that point it will solve all of your healing needs, as well as giving you a huge max hp boost. Obviously bad if you already invested a lot into other healing though!

idk i dont like torture because by the time it shows up, i already spent so much in healing so its a waste! i would only take it if it shows up very early so in a really lucky run lol
