This was so informative (I am a product designer new to the ceramics manufacturing process); thank you for putting this together. Just when I thought ceramic items were made by an automated system spewing out a bunch of cool shapes that end up in a kiln... I now realize that for the most part, this is still a human/manual process! Side note: As an American, the current generations will never want to make anything like this by hand or work in factories such as these (unless they are building automobiles)... and you wonder why a lot of our jobs went overseas.

I'm looking for a ceramic company in the United States, Mexico or China that can produce several thousand pieces. Are you based in the U.S.? If not, do you know of a reliable company in the U.S. that could handle an order of this size? I would love to support a small business and help it get started. Thank you for your time. I never realized it would be so difficult to find a ceramic company capable of large-scale production.

How not to make a documentary video. What is being shown here? How ceramics are being made or how a man explains how ceramics are being made. There should be more video of the operations and less of the narrator. Do it again and use voice over next time and it will be worth watching.
