How would you rate the Cerapad Kin on the mousepad tier list without the stickiness negative factor?

if you wanted to get a fast consistent pad, regardless of price would you get a hien or a mpc 450 or hayate otsu?
@hausgaming2 жыл бұрын
All are very good options. For consistency, I'd probably pick the MPC450. Some people mention it can wear out in 6 months, but then you'd just buy a new one. It's EXTREMELY consistent for me once you get used to it. One of the best pads ever made. I've started liking the Otsu more and I've always liked the Hien, but if consistency is the most important thing I'd choose MPC. The pad feels the same even if you spill coffee on that shit and don't clean it lmao
@GlitchyTE2 жыл бұрын
@@hausgaming or would you recommend any of the hard pads like the sky pad or cerapad? Thanks for the reply
@Reverae2 жыл бұрын
Honestly if you want pure consistency without any price restrictions then just go cerapad. That thing would last you ages considering its made of ceramic and is not made of cloth so it won't be affected by humidity or dirt or it wearing down. Though MPC is a lot more economical if you factor in newer better pads that are gonna be made in the future.

haus what balanced speed cloth pad do you recommend? my hien started feeling progressively worse and worse after 6 months, and now after 1.5 yrs it has a lot of dead spots and doesnt feel good and consistent anymore. are there any cloth surfaces that are more durable than this? i dont want to spend 60+ euro on a new hien l/xl every 12 to 18 months, and I'm hesitant on this cerapad due to price and the fact you cant press into it like a soft pad which is something i really feel is crucial.
@Reverae2 жыл бұрын
Maybe you got a bad one? I heard that the Hien is the most durable from the Artisan line up, even lasting others for 4 years so it deteriorating already in just a year is concerning.
@9core2 жыл бұрын
@@Reverae The sections where I haven't used it like near the corners feel almost good as new, but the sections where i usually use it the texture/weave has smoothened out and have way way more dynamic friction ("muddy", not as bad as like a worn gsr ofc), so if I hit those spots it feels really inconsistent. The only solution for me is to try to avoid those spots by rotating the pad 180 degrees so i will use other spots more, which I've been doing for like 7 months but now those parts are worn as well and feel like dead spots too. Maybe it lasts 4 years if you don't use it as much, play very low sens so you use every part equally, and don't put pressure in game with your mouse on it at all, but I will often push in to get more control which affects the pad and skate durability more. I think a lot of ppl overestimate Hien durability, you can find a lot of stories about Hien developing "dead" spots after ~6 months, and for me after 18 months it doesn't feel great anymore at all since quite a few parts are like that. I think artisan themselves recommend on their website to change the pad every few months. I think that's a bit too often, but I see where they're coming from. The pad is pretty durable, but it's far from invincible or anything like what ppl make it out to be in terms of durability.
@Reverae2 жыл бұрын
@@9core Yeah people have varying durability with artisans based on their use case from what I've seen, especially the dead spots. That's why I'm at this video, even if its expensive, at least it will save me frustration from having inconsistencies and having to replace a pad every year. Though it requiring a hand sleeve and not being able to push down the mousepad would be a deal breaker for people. Though getting acclimated to it would honestly be a worthwhile tradeoff

Great review haus! Since the KIN is (at least in my opinion) the only viable option for Tac-FPS and tracking based games as well, this is most definitely worth looking into for me. I've tried out the SkyPad 2.0 before and rather liked it, but it was still not controlled enough for me to get used to it in CSGO. Do you think that the KIN would fix that "issue"? After enjoying the Superligdes a ton in CSGO and KovaaK's and ditching them for their incosistency (and the fact that the material used basically burns a hole in your pad), I'm actually gonna' try out the LGG glass skates for the first time soon (since they've finally become available on MaxGaming). If I for some reason do not like them on any of my variety of pads, I'll probably consider trying out the KIN :)
