Filmation SERIOUSLY deserves a lot more credit than they get now adays.
@Launchpad05 Жыл бұрын
I agree. They may not have been the best studio, but they did their very best with what little they had to work with. Plus, they helped up, and coming talent get the chance to learn the ropes, and become part of the animation process. No current animation studio has that anymore.
@cerealgeekTV Жыл бұрын
That's because these days FACTS do nothing...it's all about a perceived opinion...so the uninformed and uneducated "experts" that know all about animation from this decade can say any old crap...and so long as they have an audience they will be believed - My channel is all about putting FACTS out into the world and celebrating those that worked on these shows...not inventing garbage in order to gain traction - FACT: Filmation were a VERY successful studio that kept animation in the United States and inspired an entire generation! :)

What an amazing and truly heartfelt story. I grew up watching He-Man and She-Ra as a kid and now as a grown man, proudly watch both shows. Thank you for all the effort and the work that went into this project. I used to be a member on that He-Man homepage years ago, it was such a fun place to visit. This series has a quality, sort of magic really, that is impossible to articulate. There is so much heart in that show, and yet it is not corny at all, this cartoon knows what it is and does it so well, and it never tries to be something else, thankfully. We all have TV shows that we loved as a kid, like TMNT and Batman, those were/are great shows that I also love and still watch, but He-Man is something completely different and it is so indescribably difficult to describe it. It's so warm, empathetic and you can tell that good people created this good TV series. I could tell as a child. So much heart, and so much magic, the real kind, that only exists in this universe. And what a universe it is. He-Man is the most emotionally intelligent TV series I have ever seen. And the music! The musical scores aren't just good, they are fantastic. The music plays such an important part of the emotions that come with watching this amazing show. I wanted to end with "I have the Power", but it doesn't sound right, because YOU'VE got the Power! Thank you!

I cant remember when it premiered locally here in Australia, but it was a pleasant change. After school programming consisted of a lot of re-runs of syndicated shows from the 60s and 70s, nestled in between were solo episodes of Looney Tunes. I think it set the cat amongst the pigeons ratings wise as well for the local networks and their after school/afternoon line up.

This video has taught me a few things, first is that Norm Prescott and Lou Scheimer were sound-alikes, something I never knew till, now, nor he's work on He-Man, second is that your parents are both awesome, it's easy to see now where your get your artistic skills from. ;) Third, not being credited on the 2002 series really did suck, but it explains how you were so apologetic when you forgot to credit me on that one issue of cereal:geek magazine, of which I will ALWAYS forgive you for that as it was an honest mistake, but if the roles were reversed, I too would freak out about it. :D Thanks ever so much for giving me the opportunity and others too be a part of this video, I can safely say that we ALL have the power! Oh, man, this is one heck of a celebratory video! It's funny that you said, "I wasn't the only one on the planet who still remembered He-Man" when talking about your internet beginnings because that's exactly what I thought when I stumbled upon your Bustatoon website, LOL. I absolutely love the part where you give thanks to your parents. It's just heartwarming. And as for the final part of the video with all of us, I know it's supposed to be all fun and games, but seeing all those folks from around the world, even some I follow, coming together to make a lighthearted contribution, just as you put it, "no agendas, no ego, no cynicism," it was kinda touching to me, to be honest. Maybe I'm getting older and getting soft, but I genuinely enjoyed it. But you know what's missing from the video, really? Yep, buddy, YOU saying, "I have the power." If I had a say in the editing, I would've threatened not to upload the video until I got a clip of you saying that too. This time it's okay, but remember, for the 50th anniversary video of He-Man, you better be in there too!

Great and very enjoyable video James. Finding out it took ITV three months to screen the next episode of He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe. After showing the first four episodes. I really loved all your MOTU coverage the past few months James, this is very much what you eat, breath and sleep and you keep making this vintage show feel more and more fresh with each successive decade. I actually put together an A.I assisted He-Man audio short, titled "An Important Dare", I hope you get to see it.

In my life there have been three constants: my love of drawing, doing voices & Masters of the Universe! As far back as I can remember, I loved MOTU. I have a photo of me on my dad's childhood spring rocking horse, wearing my He-Man sweatshirt & holding aloft my knockoff Power Sword. He-Man was my first figure, Battle Cat my first beast & Road Ripper my first vehicle. I had my figures tear along the linoleum in our dining room/kitchen all day long if allowed while mom dodged the green vehicle at her feet. I had a Christmas receiving Man-At-Arms, Beastman, Faker, Sy-Klone, Thunder Punch (along with a sheet of extra caps), Moss Man & the Weapons Pack. A birthday would add Buzz-Off, Roboto & others to my collection. I collected other figures with my allowance or birthday money. Dragon Walker, Bashasaurus, a kid's sized shield & belt (from my grandma) & kid's sized Sword would join my collection from thrift stores over the years. Hordak was from Shopko & the last figure I bought as a kid was Whiplash from Toys R Us. I drew MOTU characters all the time, Grayskull (or the front half I had from a thrift store find for 25¢ with a cardboard back) housed my heroes (mixed with my collection of ThunderCats, TMNT, Transformers & others) while my later acquired Snake Mountain (complete thanks to one of my mom's friends) housed my villains. I collected Golden Books from Pic N Save, comics & KOs from the Dollar Store, & once I stumbled upon the .Org, restarted my toy collecting once more & added to my knowledge of this world I love so much. A few years ago my wife gave me the best birthday ever with a MOTU theme & gifts. She & our daughters all share a love for it to varying degrees. It's one thing that always makes me happy. My love for MOTU will never die.
