Everyone cries when Som leaves but nobody bats an eyelash when Kyle (their former bassist) leaves. Such BS if you ask me, but alas, that's the fate of us lowly bass players.

sorry, but that's just stupid... If she would've been going on the stage half naked I'd agree, but how in the 11 Dimensions were Cerebral Bore or Som image conscious, alone with the look or the music they are playing? Shawn is a badass new vocalist, but so was Som. I don't know what happened behind the curtain, but I surely think Cerebral Bore definitely lost something with her going...

The fact that they used the gimmick of having a woman as the vocalist to their advantage, it's a good business statagy; however, it makes them a little souless. The band Arkona, has a woman vocalist, but unless you listened to the music or saw the band, you wouldn't know it. With Cerebral Bore, you went in knowing this, every add I saw for them stated that Som was a woman. That's why they were image conscious, or a better phrase, market conscious.

One of these days you're going to call someone a name and it will get you in trouble. I don't see how I'm a sexist when at this moment I'm listening to Arkona, a band fronted by a woman. The image doesn't necessarily come from her look it comes from the fact that she is a woman. This band went from beyond obscure to being a major band in death metal for that 1 reason. There is no sexism, I simply am implying that death metal fans tend to gravitate to a band immediately when a woman is involved.

Notice I've not called you a single name since the started, where as in your whole argument is based on calling me something. Immature in any case. Now to the argument at hand, I'm not a sexist, because, my problem here is on a marketing issue. I'm not an elitist because I'm not a person who listens solely to metal, in fact it's a small part of my listening habits. Not everyone fits into a defined category. It's obvious you're a fanboy and are offended by my comment. Trample off man.

Glad Som left the band. Maybe now they can focus on music and not be so image conscious.
