Always fun to see you make things, Ceri. As, you know from my comments, I design everything using Photoshop. One of the great things about PS is how it alerts you with guidelines where objects line up in relationship with each other. One object's relationship to another is a key element in creating a sense of cohesiveness in a design. I like adding birds in flight in my designs. If I just slapped an image of a bird down without paying attention to its relationship to the object to which it refers, my chances of making a jumble of my design are heightened. I wonder how many crafters think about relationships of colors, textures, shapes and images to one another when they make their projects. You have a great eye and I would like to ask if you would consider doing a video about ways to improve one's design skills when creating projects. The rules aren't complicated. Basically, they're all about paying attention. Sometimes it isn't enough to "just do it". One needs to know what one is doing and why in order to achieve the best result and to improve one's talent for design. Thanks, Ceri!!
@CeriGriffiths9 ай бұрын
Thank you, very valued comments. I have been blessed with a gift of an eye that sees balance in shape, colour and form, I often forget that not everyone is equally blessed. I’ll have to think on this topic because I don’t see myself as being qualified to teach this but sharing my preferences may be something I could do.

Hello Ceri, I know this might be taken the wrong way but please be sure of this OK. I am in no way here to put anyone down!!! I am only curious all right... I have just like you started up all this as a child with basically nothing more than a pair of scissors some glue and NY own imagination ha! 😊And guess what? No one absolutely no one ever got what I was doing but today I am so happy they let me continue even though they didn't 😅 anyhow I am so in love with your channel you bring so much JOY to my life! And for that I thank you! Now to my question OK.... All these paper dolls and snapshots of people we don't know.... For what purposes? I mean in my journals I usually have like Bowie Beatles or my all time faves Duran Duran but actually in the same style as Tim Holtz for example do the others and I envy you lot for being able to do this with unknown people HOW? Is it done??? Please let me know! Educate me please! And before anyone asks... Of course I have piccies of mine as children too!!! Hellooo!!! 😊❤🎉 And again thank you Ceri for a wonderful attitude and a great channel!!! //Sara
@CeriGriffithsАй бұрын
Sara, I think a lot of people create to sell therefore having anonymous characters in their creations doesn’t bother them, also not everyone has old family photos and memorabilia therefore they have to buy it or purchase a digital download from someone to enable them to create. There are no rules in art so whatever you feel comfortable using is right for you no matter what anyone else says.
@bildsarajohanssonАй бұрын
Thank you so much for your answer, well I don’t sell I only give away as presents and such and then I put in a majority of piccies of the person receiving or their loved ones for instance and of course one or two Bowie or something otherwise it wouldn’t be me 😊 Stay safe and take care, Ceri ! And again I thank you for your answer and your happy go lucky attitude ! // Sara ;)
