Can you fax Cerner electronic lab orders to an efax?

You can fax to traditional fax machines or digital counterparts, provided they have a valid number. There are many ways to initiate a fax in PowerChart - from the Documents or Notes sections, from Orders via reprinting the requisition, from Message Center, or via Medical Record Request to name a few.

Replying for all. Cerner certification has long been an informal process. They've had various permutations of an academy program for their employed learning consultants for years, but not a formal program open to all. The Department of Defense / Defense Health Agency specified all personnel associated with the project would be trained to a baseline standard a few years ago, so Cerner created a certification course consultants had to attend before joining the project. I attended this, and it was being designed while it was being delivered. The VA project followed suit a few years later. These projects led to a flood of "certified" Cerner consultants, when the truth is there really is no standard certification process aside from their internal processes for employees.

It is a Electronic Health Record software that you can order, bill, and keep track of patient data. There is many different things you can do with the EHR itself depending on what department and requirements. It is a one of the big EHR systems out such as EPIC, Meditech, AllScripts, Eclinicalworks, and so on. It depends of the need of the hospital and what is feasible cost and the ROI they are looking for in the long run to decide what EHR is best suited for them. Large hospitals like more than 250 bed tend to use EPIC and anything smaller probally use another EHR system since its more less costly for them in the long run. Cerner vs EPIC I would say are the 2 big EHR systems right now. Both are great.

@@marthacrowder8026 yah unless you work for a company that has a Playground environment which let's you play around and train in the system don't think there is much resources other than KZbin. Have you looked on Cerner website for training not sure if they offer or have free material

@@marthacrowder8026 worst system I have ever encountered in the 21 years in my field. We have a bunch of vids myself and other employees made. Depending on what you want, I may be able to share some with you
