What other documents do you take to the embassy along with the cert of no impedient? And is the cert of no impediment alone enough or do i need a sworn affidavit for my single status also?

Hi. You will need both documents plus any other the Embassy requires you to under the visa you are applying for

hey there. after uploading it to foreign affairs and the 3 working days elapse, do you need to go to the ministry of the foreign affairs and pick up any document. on e citizen it is written "Processes. Fill the online application form and complete the process as directed. Pay the requisite fees using the available payment options. The application processing time is within three (3) working days Download the authentication Certificate once its approved." does this mean that all I'll have to do is download and print this document? and thats it?

What documents do i need to carry with me for the appointment? Does my partners certified copy of passport suffice or must I have his actual passport?

Hello how much did you pay at the attorney generals place to get your certificate of no impediment Attestified? My certificate of no impedimennt is out but they said i am supposed to go through the process of attestation

There is a fee for the certificate of no impediment you pay at Sheria House and the information and process for this document you can also find through your ecitizen account when applying for it, they have outlined the process and documents required before you start the application. The final document from Sheria house comes out certified, you upload to foreign affairs to authenticate and then finally have it legalized at the Embassy

@valerieshinia8526 This document you need if you plan to marry abroad, and the signature and seal I believe will be that of the Registrar. Additional document you may need whether marrying abroad or within is the affidavidit of civil status, where you make an oath of your marital status infront of a lawyer. If using it outside you will have it notarized, authenticated and legalized.

Hey. They are 2 different documents. The one of single status is an affidavit you get from a lawyer and notarize it or you have a notary public do. All the best

And you will actually need both. In my case the certificate of no impediment was not enough to show I was never married.

Can you get it with an avidavit issued when getting NHF

@carolinembogo4179 I think it will depend on the information therein upon doing the oath, and find out if you need a new one if the current one is older than 6 months, in some instances with other documents a new one may be required if older than 6 months. Best wishes
