Cervical Incompetence (Obstetrics - Second Trimester)

I hope that they find a way to test for Incompetent Cervix. (They really need to change the name of that term. Seriously.) I didn't even know it existed until I lost my first baby. Fortunately, I had a cerclage with my second and had a healthy baby.

veela lynne, they can. If they routinely screen for it. Which they never used to do but are doing more now. I am in u/s school and I am writing a paper about how I believe that they need to screen every woman via ultrasound for IC for every pregnancy. No one should lose a baby to this. I have IC myself and lost a son to it.

I had that after doing cerclage have some infection is it more or minimal how about risk I listen from my doctor said still cerclage is just 85% to 90% help of many cases it’s true plzz answer me 🙏🏻

Sana Haris I'm in the US and this happened to me twice . My doctor said I had to wait 6 weeks until I could have sex and when I was emotionally ready would could start trying again and they would put in a cerclage at 12 weeks .
