The newest edition to the CV professional audio speaker lineup is the P-series powered & portable speakers that safely live up to the Cerwin Vega philosophies of high quality sound and durability. The Cerwin Vega P-series speakers are available in a 15-inch, active 2-way speaker setup (P1500X) and a powered subwoofer version in the 18-inch configuration (P1800SX). Thank you man for the quick response. I'll be checking into these as i still use my non active cv's still to this day for most outdoor events. I am as you know a big fan of the Alto brand and I'm looking forward to hearing the new black series. Right on man. Thanks for the feedback and quick response. I think I'm going to make that purchase. I still have some old passive CV's that I still rock to this day at some outdoor events and honestly, I still love em' I might hold off on the sub woofer for now but I may add it later on to stroke my ego lol. Ok thanks for the great review, very informative. I have some old CV's from 1989, they're the V43 series a they still run flawless but too bulky. I can't seem to find a speaker that can give me the clarity that these do.

DJBooth Pro Audio yeah over here in southern Cali in riverside at the clubs I’ve seen em. I use the CVE series and they’re amazing for 340$ a speaker. My dad used CV back in the 80’s/90’s to dj. In my opinion they just aren’t marketed like EV, QSC and JBL. The CVX series is really good to i still have it ranked in my top 5 brands. They’re known as the “old school” brand but they sound better than most speakers that cost 1,200$ a speaker. Good review tho bro. I wish they had this in a 12 unless I’m not looking right

Hey Jaybee262728, Kareem is by far one of the best to review products and I agree with him on those active speaker suggestions bang per buck. I personally own the Alto TS115A active speakers and love them. You can easily do parties of up to 200 people with a pair of them. You can always add a sub if you like later on. i got the 1800sx sub i love it i might get the 2 tops no hurry though because i have carvin tops that i love also maybe down the road but i know you can't go wrong. also in my experience mackie qsc jbl is way over priced great stuff but there are better more reliable options for a few hundred cheaper out there id say cerwin vega and carvin is best bang for buck by far

Just picked these up...I'm a big QSC fan though and I'm skeptical for long term use. I have the K10's for my smaller gigs, this will be for bigger. Want to know if they will hold up and sound clear when these speakers are being pushed? QSC's still sound great at that high level.

Joey Dino Yes. These speakers can easily handle a big room with 300+ people. Around 100 people without a sub. Add a sub for more than 100 people to reinforce the sound. Most wedddings average between 60 to 100 people. It also depends on the accustics of the location and speaker placement.

Man im so glad i found your channel, I need help. I need to find some decent but inexpensive speakers to start doing parties and stuff ect. I just need them to be loud enough to host a part of mayb 100-200 people. CAn you recommend some?

QSC K Series are a serious contender that come close and are an alernative but these speakers by Cerwin Vega have the better sound and quality. Specially for bigger venues.

chillg84 I compared both and they are almost the same but the CV has a deeper stronger bass. K series start loosing bass at higher levels. Also the K12 has really great midrange. I personally love that Vega sound.

Jammin Dave Cerwin Vega has speakers thar cost less than $899.00 but these here are their High Quality Professional model for DJs who are serious about sound. I have been using these speakers for most events and they sound amazing. Worth every penny.

Kareem I need your help once again. so the loud speaker here (1500x) paired with the 1800 SX subwoofer sounds like a lethal combination. my question to you is would you prefer these over QSC K12 and they're kw 181?

Evan Saenz K12 are rated at 1000w, most DJs love them for the portability and compact size. CV P1500X are rated at 1500w - so, yes, the CV is a much louder and better sounding speaker, specially if you compare the bass. You can use 2 CV P1500X for a crowd of 150 or less without a sub.

i am looking to set up a home system , and i was on amazon looking at a $300.00 pair of cerwin Vegas , and wonted something with insane highs and lows for en in you re face sound . i will also be getting the audio technica atlp 120 turn table . i was happyer with vinyl then digital . i see a lot of people on you tube ripping vinyl with that turn table

They use these specific speakers in the clubs I go to around my area. Cerwin Vega is like the QSC that isn’t marketed much anymore. But they’re great

Chalino Sanchez QSC K12 are very popular for their sound and portability at 1000w they are a good choice. BUT, Cerwin Vega's P1500X is louder and has superior bass, rated at 1500w - the only drawback is the weight, the speakers are a bit heavy.
