Similar story here my mother came from sao vicente alone and immigrated in Luxembourg. I grew up with Cesaria music. She always says that Cesaria's and my family are related. I visited cape Verde twice and it definitely feels like everyone on the islands are big family. Damn I miss those small green mangos.

Se me escrever vou te escrever. Se me esquecer vou te esquecer... São Tomé e São Nicolau são nomes de duas ilhas do arquipélago de Cabo Verde...Todas as ilhas do arquipélago falam o mesmo crioulo,mas existem algumas diferenças em algumas palavras.
