@@irissupercoolsy I think it's a lesson that many humans, male and female, though it seems like males are getting a higher rate of dismissal and assumption recently, don't have purpose. They have been taught what will give them supposed 'happiness': stuff and a 'career'. A job, even if you enjoy the content, you are overworked at, missing family friend and community time, to buy stuff you are too busy to use or is only their to impress others. Humans need purpose just like dogs, we just have more options and opportunities to find it. Especially in today's social media world, we are avatars. The perfect version of ourselves. We talk more than ever but rarely listen or connect. Relationships, serving others, is just as important to humans as it is to dogs.

Love and Respect, you and Molly both. 💖 As a disabled Army vet, I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis about three weeks after getting an 11 week old Boxer puppy. That was just over 9 years ago, and I owe Paige my life in every sense. Blind in my left eye, deaf in my left ear, gait issues that require me to use a cane, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Paige had specialized training, but instinctively taught herself to adapt to my needs. The Chronic fatigue hit two years into being sick. She already had pro training, but this was new for both of us. I slept for 68 hours straight, and only awoke (after her barking, trying to jump on my chest) when she bit my hand (as gently as she could) and dragged me off the bed. At a CPR training, she gave the dummy actual chest compressions, after licking its face, and checking for breathing. 🤯 Also a Buddha babe, I couldn't live my life without her. 💖🐶💖 Congratulations are definitely in order for the incredible Gallop's success!🤩🌈👏🏼

This is so interesting. Especially since despite feeling like a child, an extension of you and a life partner, they eventually aren't. They are an extra limb, a tool, an assistant. And one day, you have to replace them. You don't have to replace a child. Noone would ever expect you to. This is a very unique situation.
@AmyAndThePup

@@AmyAndThePup I'm sorry, that was poor wording. As I said, I understand the deep special emotional connection is so much more than towards a tool. I like the limb analogy Molly uses. I just collected words here, knowing that none would fit if it wasn't guide dog itself. As I said, the situation is very unique and I've got a lot of respect for it, so there is no real comparison that fits.
@AmyAndThePup
@AmyAndThePup 5 жыл бұрын
@@JuMixBoox Too true. There's no actual comparison, and as someone who's had the honor of working with three beautiful guide dogs over the last sixteen years, even though one didn't work for me for very long (for various behavioral reasons), they've each tought me precious and meaningful things most pets could never teach. It's a very unique, powerful bond. I've heard it described as a dance. Others have said that the dog is the pilot and the blind person the navigator (since we tell the dog where to go, and their job is to safely take us there). No harm in your words. :) This video made me feel very thoughtful and made me reflect on my dogs and all they've given me.

Floyd May I got very excited to read that you’re blind and breed bully’s! The stigma behind them is so dramatically different than how the media portrays them. They’re SO smart and SO loyal, they’ll do whatever their owner asks them to. Unfortunately, the only stories people hear about are from the results of awful humans training them to be aggressive or neglecting them long term to go into a flight or flight mode. It’s unfair to bully’s to have the poor reputation when it’s almost always the human’s fault. My good friend has 4 bully’s and they’re all comically chill dogs who love to snuggle and are content chewing a bone and being lazy most of the day after a good long walk in the mornings. They’re such great dogs with the right owner! ❤️

The negative connotations of the word imply the inability to achieve positive outcomes. My reality is I can and do achieve that which I set my mind to achieve. Being differently able can be a challenge but my disability does not define me or determine that which I can accomplish. I cannot change the limitations of my body, but my mind can and does determine alternate pathways to my goals and ambitions. I elect to focus on my abilities and not be defined by my disability.

I've chosen to own the term as part of my acceptance of myself because I have a hidden disability, so I have to state it in various circumstances & define myself with it. Don’t see aids as a weakness-see them as a tool to help you live an independent and happier life. :) Totally different example but I used to feel like I’d be weak if I took antidepressants because I felt like it meant I couldn’t handle my problems on my own. Then I actually got on them and they literally saved my life and vastly improved my quality of life and now I am such an advocate for people using aids like medication to help live a better life. This is a hard situation to be in...but try to bear one thing in mind: not every blind person gets or wants a guide dog, and they should never be forced or pushed into it. Not saying you are doing this, just that other people have done this to blind people I've known, and it's not a very nice thing to do. Most blind people don't have guide dogs, and that needs to be something we respect, even if some of us, blind or sighted, love dogs with out whole hearts. Hang in there. Remember that it's okay to let her walk her own road, with or without a guide dog.

Dear Caser, You are helping me overcome my fear of playing music in front of other people. I am a musician, a violinist, and I live in Ireland. I have tried for a long time to figure out and tried my best to let it go for a long time. Your deconstruction into parts of the fear experience is immensely helpful for me. My family always had dogs, German Shepards. I believe our dog, Baron von Schneider, had a job. He protected our family while my father, a doctor, was away overnight working in the emergency room. He was happy dog, and beautiful, and intelligent and a great companion. Thank you!!!! XOXOXO

It's too bad that most Utubers don't read the comment section cause I bet that would be a great interview since most most of the time the main care giver of a service dog is the person they were trained for and they experience their dogs differently than those that are not dependent on the animal.

Wow. I just recently discovered Mollys Channel (she's wonderful) and haven't seen much content of Cesar yet, I'm so stunned by how respectful he is to a young girl. This might be the first time in my life I heard phrases like "teach me about that" and "let me type that down" from the older person in the conversation. Like, even when (like in this case) the younger person is the one who clerarly knows more about the topic they often get cut off or questioned or people do have this whole "well, you're still young, your not valid yet" thing going on. I love to see this.

I can't thank you enough for this. Molly is wonderful and confident. Gallop sounds like my previous guide dog, Toby. He was about 81lbs, gentle, calm, and wise. So wise. His puppy raiser said Toby was very deep, and he was. Gosh, I miss him. My current guide, Sita, is spunky and silly and head-strong. She's got wonderful initiative when she's guiding me. She's content to hang out at home, but she gets bored sometimes, and she wants nothing more than to go out to embrace the world. Thank you for this video. It means a lot, and now I find myself wishing I could talk with you the way Molly did here. Sharing our stories is so important, but listening to others' stories is even more meaningful, in its way. I got a rescue puppy 6 months ago, and boy I was unprepared for the amount of work and patience and love it really takes to bring up a dog! She is nearly fourteen months old now, and every day I feel more bonded to her and more and more like she is beginning to trust me, and me trust her. She has a few worrying behaviours that at first I resented and didn’t understand how to cope with - she is my first dog ever - but now with time and research I have learnt to be more understanding towards her feelings and I’m working really hard to develop a good bond and hopefully mutual respect with her. I’ve really gone on a learning curve, and I do feel terribly guilty for my ignorance and lack of patience in the first couple months, and am putting a lot of effort to provide a loving and safe home for her with me! Her anxiety seems to be improving fast and she’s already gotten much more confident around people and other dogs, and socialisation has been going very well! Lots of love and thanks to you for all the super informative content you have made available to people like me learning how to be a good dog owner! Yours, Alfie and Mable

I learned why my Labrador was so happy during his life because I trusted him and he had a job to do that he seemed to love, he looked after me everyday like he was a trained service dog even though he wasn't. Labs are just so naturally caring and good with people with disabilities, he knew when I needed extra care or company or cheering up. He knew when I was in a lot of pain and I couldn't walk fast or far he would just walk at my pace never dragging me down the road and never trying to take me further than I could handle. RIP my beloved Fergus I miss you everyday.

I love molly and gallop they’re amazing. Loved the other video where gallop relearnt to love water. My Catalan pup (that we bred) is in training as an assistance dog, we say she was sent to us for me. Early stages but so far she’s picking pup the training and excelling in it. we started taking her basic polite obedience to the next level four months ago and her behaviour during public access is so good, she makes us so proud. we had a parent point her out to a misbehaving child as an example of how to behave! Which was quite funny for us.

This gave me goosebumps, I learnt the importance of self-acceptance, the responsibility we have towards animals in accepting their need for a purpose. Miss Burke had an incredible point in saying if you can't change something about yourself, accept it. I felt inspired by the both of you in pursuing my purpose and what I love to do, and that is wanting to work with children on the Autism Spectrum. Cesar, it's the 26th now (Australian timezone) and my birthday and I just wanted to say thank you for the lovely video. Interviews with inspiring people with amazing relationships with their animals just really seem to be your mojo, I was absolutely enthralled. There is a movement that rejects compassion , love , and wisdom. The chance to be disagreeable or hurtful has become their goal in life. They have been forgiven, but they don't understand what that means or how it might affect their existence in any positive manner.
