Anyone judging the owner, Shannon, needs to realize that improving and developing the UNCONSCIOUS aspects of yourself (e.g., energy, etc.,) is not a simple or easy task. It's not just a matter of 'wanting' to improve. It takes patience, courage, and humility (and humiliation). Shannon's ability to even take in that feedback and begin to recognize its accuracy puts her FAR ahead of a majority of people. You may not have her particular blind spot, but you have your own.

We have this problem too, most people do in some way. Our rescue is a pitbull who lived on streets. My husband feels badly she had such a hard life before we got her. I use a wheelchair and the ramp is in the garage. But my husband thinks she is afraid to go in backyard at night so he doesnt want to put her out if i need to go somewhere. Cesar is a legend, helped me hugely - I went from being scared of dogs, to watching Cesar for many years and deciding to buy a German Shepherd (as our first dog too!). I used Cesar shared knowledge from Dog Whisperer etc, to have an amazing dog in our family pack. In the U.K. we ‘humanise’ dogs so much and it’s not fair on the dog - this doesn’t mean not love the dog, but giving the dog what they need in the right order! Thanks Cesar, you helped changed lives across the Atlantic too! Just to add...the way we deal with dogs scared of fireworks in the U.K. is often wrong, they get scared and we give affection - I did it the Cesar way and my German Shepherd was fearless !

Wow! You are amazing! I don’t even know you and am proud of you. From fear of dogs to a GS. Remarkable. Believe me, too many people in the US baby and pamper their dogs during times of stress rather than encouraging them to relax and be calm. New Year’s Eve my 14 yo pit lab mix reacted nervously to fireworks in the neighborhood. She jumped off the bed and came to my side to be comforted. I petted her a little and told her matter of factly and calmly everything was fine then just ignored her. She got back on the bed and I bundled her up in a blanket. She was nervous at first, but soon relaxed and fell asleep because I demonstrated relaxation and calm. I owe so much to Cesar for all the lessons I learned from his videos over the years.

My boyfriend is pestered by our cats when they want to be fed (when it's not meal time) but they rarely come to me because I don't give in and I show I don't want to but firmly. Also about the agreement is also so true! I always tell him to not let the youngest cat bite but he says "it's okay it doesn't hurt, it's just playful but I do reprimand it when it hurts me". Dude, it will only confuse the cat! We could've problems with that youngest cat with our disagreement but thankfully we have an oldest cat which teached it manners and respect. For example, in the beginning the youngest had hard time to not use its claws when playing, after got beaten up by the oldest after a few time the youngest is now more careful and gentle, pheww...

Pugs generally are very friendly and not often aggressive. Mine is actually maybe seen as been aggressive but it's actually because she is afraid.

I’m a pug mom myself. I’m shocked at aggressive. They often have attitude that’s what we pug people love about them but not aggression. Happy Gio found his happy place and a pack. They don’t often like to be only dogs.

Cesar Millan, this is one of my favorite episodes. I love how you break down the relationship between Gio and the owner. I think a lot of dog owners would benefit from watching this episode. As a dog trainer, I always learn something from you.

I’ve always had Pugs. They’re just my breed…the shedding is just part of it. If you can’t tolerate shedding then a Pug is not for you. Fortunately, I have never encountered a mean Pug. It’s not their general nature. They’re quite the opposite and want to be a part of everything in your life. Caesar is almost speechless in some of this video. I even saw where they had to clip the video. Maybe he said something he knew people would have misinterpreted. Ultimately, he saw that the situation was going to break up their marriage…which there were probably already problems. So he probably recognized that and knew there would always be stressors for Geo. A blessing that she did get Cesar there so I’m giving her great credit for making the right decision for Geo. I’m so happy for him and thankful for Cesar for giving him a forever home.
