A masterclass from Ronnie, again from Desislava who is my fave ref, as she is quick and doesn't get in the way, and another masterclass in editing from Cesar.
@jasondean88888 Жыл бұрын
A ref who is quick to bend way over (due to a short reach length) and reach to place the balls quickly and accurately, while not getting in the way of anyone lining up their next cue stroke, is highly appreciated at any level of this sport.

The flow is very important for someone like O'sullivan. He likes to play with speed and don't like to overthink. So when he gets the momentum there and controlling the table, he start dominating.

I am new to watching this game. Take my commentary with a grain of salt. If there is one weakness in Ronnie’s game, it’s the long shots. Some players are great at those, while Ronnie seams average at best. If he could sink the long balls, he would probably never lose.

This is so typical of O'Sullivan: his game only becomes brilliant when it needs to. He plays mediocre snooker until the match is in danger of being lost. With Dale that is not until Dale has won several frames. With Higgins, Robertson, Trump, Selby, and perhaps a couple of others, O'Sullivan plays his best from the start, if he can. With the much lower ranked players he often plays much less skillfully until the last couple of frames.

16:05 - I don't get the explanation in your text overlay. The plant is not on, and if the second ball moves down it makes it even worse I think? And overall the hit was too thin, instead of being too thick?
@CesarMuroya2 жыл бұрын
Instinct says it worsens as the new point of contact is less favourable for the pot, but it does work. It's called Reverse Plant for that reason. I explain it on this match: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4jQZX5jp7GaotE

I can't play snooker. Here in northeast Texas it is at least 100 miles of heavily traveled highways to the nearest pool hall with a snooker table. Were I to make that long round trip, the one or at most two snooker tables either would be tied up all night, or there would be no one in the building willing to play, or those willing to play would be top tier player/gamblers who would see me as an easy payday for them.. Bummer, but thanks to KZbin I can watch world-class snooker almost every day. Then again, in six weeks both of my eye surgeries will be fully healed, and depending on how my game progresses on my home 8' pocket billiards table I may just give those sharks a try. It's only money.

At 9:46 Why did Ronnie pot a following red, instead of a colour such as the green and it not be a foul? It's almost like he was juuuuust about to pot the green and then BANG, there goes the *LIGHTBULB* MOMENT*, let's pot *another red instead* - I'm certain each photographic frame and pot before and after 9:46 - 10:00 aren't chopped at all.

At 19:13, Dale smiles like he is thinking "Well, what can you say, Ronnie is still Ronnie and he is a genius". Sure Dale he is, but if you thought that, you are absolutely wrong. Yes he is Ronnie, but he played like that because you made a bunch of poor shots. There is nothing to smirk about. You had a fair chance.

Looks to be a nervous smile more than anything, knowing full well that he's messed up and is about to be beaten (again). There's a video of him in a pool competition from like 20 years ago and he did the same thing after messing up a shot, just a quirk of his.

One more win at the crucible and I'll be grinning like a Cheshire cat. That's all that's missing, just one more! Nobody would be able to argue on the old GOAT situation then. Trump's going to eclipse his century total at some point, definitely, and his ranking title record! Selby has a chance at 7 world titles in my opinion, hate his shameless style but it's oh so effective, and bears fruit so often. In the next 10 years snooker's going to be a completely different game! The top 16 will probably be an equal split of British and Chinese players. Maybe even a Chinese majority?! In the same way England gave football to the world and Brazil showed everyone how to play, it's going to be the same in snooker
