You passed a lot of familiar territory on this leg. I was raised in Libby so was hoping to see some footage over the Cabinets. I assume you cut East at Sandpoint then towards Lost Prairie. Deer Park is familiar too. We used to drag race on the old airstrip there.

I went from DEW pretty much direct to Lost Prairie. I had good wx so just climbed up high to give me options and cruised.

I live just south of havre there in the bear paw mountains. Work for BNSF and run trains through glacier to Whitefish

How cool. I had several uncles in Eastern Oregon that were Engineers back in the good years 60-80's. I have always thought it would be so fun to do a ride-along/flight video.

@@Jugheadf15 things have changed and those were the good years for sure, I hired out in 2011 and tons has changed and not for the better since then!! It’s a pretty cool trip for sure the “magic” of it has wore off a little since my first trip but still enjoy a good daylight trip through the mountains

Woody, For this trip the WX was not an issue at all. The only wx we had was over the Montanta mountains. The clouds were high enough to safely fly under, thin enough to fly amongst, which is what I did and broken enough we could easily have climbed above. Bottom line I always leave myself 3 outs when operating in/around weather.

@@woodywoods6380, Woody. No worries. I didn't think you were questioning anything. I try to always answer questions and talk about things assuming someone else may have the question, concern, etc. So I'm always passively providing answers/explanations as appropriate. I have definitely had ferry trips thru Montana that the wx played me with challenges and shut me down for a few days at times.
