A video is good when it keeps my attention and nothing else matters until the end. Your landing was so slick that even the wheels didn't know they touched down. Thanks again captain!

I like how you verbalize your actions. I was never taught to tap the brakes on lift-off, always just jumped a little everytime the wheels/tires vibrate to a stop on climb out. Keep the great videos coming!

Thank you.. it more so came from retract planes so the wheels weren’t spinning going up into the wells but now is preferred even on fixed for me so that I don’t have that little panic attack you speak of 😂

Awesome videos. Really enjoy and would be great if you could place camera on the PFD / MFD while adjusting for climb, cruise , descending and programming IFR routes, VNAV, adjusting mixture for ROP and LOP, etc. I have just over 200 hrs on my T182T and this is a great way to learn/compare settings and get tips. Thanks so much!!

My favorite aircraft all around is the 182, had a 185f, loved it, but it could be a handful on crosswind landings, great fun tho, but the 182 is more forgiving and better all around for my needs.

1957 :) it’s not faster than the new ones but a lot lighter and better takeoff/landing performance

FWIW, the "active" is a runway designated by ATC. Since there is no ATC, there is no "active" at an uncontrolled field. Saying the name of the runway you are clearing is much more helpful to other pilots than the ambiguous "active".

Love your videos! Question if your budget was $1.5m at max would you buy a Bonanza, Baron, or Diamond D62, or something else? Max load would be 4 adults and bags and need to travel about 570 miles if the weather allowed a straight flight.

@@Schmiiindy Great thanks! I haven't had much luck with CFI's having a mix of G1000 and turbo experience so it's been a bit of an adventure working my way through establishing my own normal procedures for various conditions. Why aren’t you guys landing at your home airport? Is that an insurance issue? Or is Textron not allowing soft field ops in their very nice 182?
@Schmiiindy2 жыл бұрын
My work hangar space was at FFC :) It wasn’t feasible to even try to keep them at my place because I can’t get in & out in less than VFR weather or after it rains. That would had limited my work flying days to almost nothing
