i'm 22 years old and I had special education all my life, It was embarrassing and I would be ashamed of most of the time. However, I use to play on the football team as a starting tight end for my high school football team. I would always stand up for those special needs kids cause they get picked on the most.

A 4th grader teased a kid with adhd, and they were mocking him (which I got mad), just because someone has a learning disability doesn’t mean you can bully them, I also will stand up for kids with adhd like me.

I have ADHD as well as high functioning autism, dyslexia, and some speech delays. I’ve been in special Ed since 4th grade and I’m now in 10th grade and I was bullied a lot, not only from my friends but from my teachers to from my old school. Thankfully, I’m at a better school.

@steveharrington32966 жыл бұрын
Laura Bell Bundy your not stupid, don’t let anyone treat you like that....
@mrsdeannawilliams92825 жыл бұрын
That’s not true you’re not “stupid” and remove that horrible word from your vocabulary! You’re capable, smart, likable, valuable, and so much more. Anyone whom has a problem with you having and IEP that’s their problem and not yours. The quickest way that I can explain special education is that your teachers are able to tailor the lesson plans specifically to your needs. There is no limit on your success please continue to be a bright light in the world!

Same here. I am on the spectrum and I was in Special Ed with kids that were lower than my level. I don't like how they acted like I wasn't smart. I feel embarrassed. It was a relief off my shoulders (I was younger then).
