CF-18 Hornet Awesome Low Demo! NAS Oceana Airshow 2024

The RCAF celebrated it's 100th Anniversary in 2024. To mark the occasion, the CF-18 Hornet Demo Team unveiled a strikingly complex yet beautiful scheme for their demo jet to honor the technological advances made by the Royal Canadian Air Force from it's inception to present day. One of the final stops on the demo team's 2024 tour was the NAS Oceana Airshow. This video features the Sunday edition of the performance, which was a low show due to cloud cover. It was great to see a legacy Hornet tearing up the skies over Oceana once again!
Sadly, shortly after the team's season concluded, it was announced that the CF-18 Demo team would not be returning in 2025 due to operational duties and pilot training for the upcoming transition to the F-35 Lightning II.

Amazing you are so lucky to capture the CF-18 one last time in action... I wish I had a better camera at the time as I only had an 18-55 to practice fundamentals of photography didn't see how I could do it with that but I still managed to capture some decent shots at CIAS 2024 and extra zoom on an editing app, will be upgrading to a 70-300mm with my D5600 body, super excited for that and can't wait to do some more photography in 2025, aside from my ranting thanks for an awesome video! Also what did you use to capture that?

Thank you much, I’m glad you enjoyed the b video! Agreed, at the time of course I had no idea it would be the very last time for me seeing this incredible demo, but I’m glad I chose to video one day and do stills the other. Sounds like you have a nice solid aviation starter kit once you get that 75-300mm! That excitement you get from photography is what it’s all about, the cool thing is the more you do, the better results you get. I’m glad you were able see the demo at CIAS as well, I’ll definitely miss it. For this video I used my Canon R6 Mk II coupled with a Sigma 60-600mm lens, not the easiest for video but some smooth results. @@RyTyPhoto Wow you are one hell of a lucky guy to be having a 60-600mm, I understand that you are much older then me but please do more with it while you have it, 60-600 is amazing... I've been stuck with my 18-55 for almost 4+ years and I'm almost 16 years old still stuck with it been learning quite a bit with that and techniques and I'm finally looking to upgrade to that 70-300mm and then probably a 500+ afterwards once I settle in the CAF an have a stable income although I'm still in school, speaking of which with the 70-300mm what are your thoughts on it? I want to capture similar to what you've been capturing in the air is it possible to do so with a 70-300mm that alone is like 600+ and I'm not even looking for a brand new one and just a used like new or good on amazon, I just want to make sure everything is good and that someone who actually knows much better then me can provide insights thus you so it would be really kind if you can give some tips and tricks and somethings about purchasing cameras would really appreciate it!
