You know the wd240gb green SSDs. It uses BGA-132 chip. Which was fully idable and recognizable by old versions of pc3k flash. But nowadays they removed the solution for it. So it cannot be IDed in pc3000 software anymore

Are you sure? Maybe the power needs adjusting 3.3VCC and 1.8VCCQ

@@hddrecoveryservices i have asked Roman from acelab. He doesn't know the reason why pc3000 could not ID. I used FE and VNR both of them showed good ID

You need to tell your buddy, backup! Use a camera that has multiple save targets. If it's important have the equipment and skill to have the ability to survive more then one failure. I know it's expensive, but...

Nice perserverance! I still dont see how its possible to rebuild a translator. Presumably the translator 'remaps' physical blocks to logical blocks, and maping out bad ones etc. Henec the mapping will be largely unque for any device (unless it was 100% physically perfect). If so, surely it must be impossible to reconstuct it (or trial and error guess it)?

The translator stores its service information in the NAND, the function in PC3k can read the service information directly from the NAND and emulate the controller.

If you removed the safe mode jumper and kept the pressure on the controller, would the SSD be able to boot up and be detected normally?

Best question so far. I can't wait until KZbin starts to allow video replies. I tried that right after the image was obtained with help of loader and translator in pc3000. But the card would not get recognized. I am not sure why it did not want to work

why controller have 2 chips one on top of the another? I understand in Android phones RAM is on top of CPU to save space , but why here ??

Most likely for the same reason. This controller on NVMe SSDs is much bigger in size. So maybe the space saver version has a double stack to make the area smaller
