Designed to meet the challenge of decarbonizing air transport, the LEAP-1B engine offers Boeing 737 MAX operators enhanced performance in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions (15% lower1), NOx emissions (up to 50% lower2) and noise (in accordance with Chapter 14).

Innovation from nose to tail
To achieve its remarkable performance, the LEAP-1B is packed with innovative technologies and materials. The use of a 3D woven composite material and the RTM (resin transfer molding) process developed and patented by Safran Aircraft Engines makes it possible to produce fan blades that are lighter, stronger and more durable. The low-pressure turbine blades are machined from an innovative titanium-aluminide alloy that is lighter and more resistant to high temperatures. The low-pressure turbine rings and airfoils are made of CMC (ceramic matrix composite) materials and the fuel injectors are 3D printed.

At 0:51 when said Ignition and fuel supplied, why it sound a roar? Then on 1:17 said N1 &N2 RMP increase to idle, what is means? I want to know since I'm not mechanic.

Hi,it will be easy to understand if you are able to watch animation of how a gas turbine engine working on KZbin itself. Normally Gas turbine engines are classified into 4 categories. In this it is of turbofan category. Air needs to be compressed before supplying fuel and ignition.In order to compress, the low and high pressure compressor rotate and supplies high pressure air to combustion chamber.Till the time the air is properly compressed and ignited the the rotation of compressors are done by starter. Once the air properly compressed fuel and ignition supplied to combustion chamber.Then what happens? Fuel air mixture burns and high pressure air strikes the turbines which will rotate. Turbines linked to compressors do when turbine rotates it will also rotates the compressor too. Once the engine attains the rpm, starter and ignition will cut off. Then engine will run at idle rpm,like your car initial startup and being on neutal gear. 0:51 the speed of the compressor and turbine will increase and some other fitted components on engine like bleed valves will open or close,which creates the roaring sound(simple explanation only). Idle rpm (Basically the minimum speed at which engine can run smoothly to operate all the self drive components and itself).
