I got this bike a week ago. Learned everything on KZbin. A week later my riding skills are night and day. I do still need to work on a lot of things, but this is a great beginners motorcycle. I like the app that tells me my ride time, total trip, max speed, rapid acceleration, rapid deceleration, and lean.

@@DimosTsont This bike will accommodate a passenger but it will impact handling, acceleration, braking, and top speed, so anticipate that when you switch from solo riding to 2-up. Also, your passenger will not be super comfortable over long distances, so start with short distances first and figure out where the threshold is for too long of a ride. Best of luck. Ride safe!

Thanks for the awesome (and real) review! Bought the 2022 NK300 in early March. Put 8000KMs (5000 miles) on it and it hasn't missed a beat. Use it for work trips everyday. Easy and fun bike to ride. Great to bash about town and fits through traffic easily. Feels similar to a KTM Duke 200/Pulsar NS200. It feels a little cheaply made in some parts, but overall feels strong in the chassis. I get 300KMs off a tank of petrol. P.S. writing from Australia 🇦🇺 Happy riding, folk!

4 months of ownership and 1200 miles later. This is my first bike and I love the damn thing. First off, if you're thinking of grabbing this bike for commuting, it's amazing for the job. It has enough power to keep up on Texas highways and will hit 90 if you need it to. It will be kinda screaming but it WILL do it lol. However it is happy to plug along at 75-80mph all day and gets amazing gas mileage while doing so. I popped a set of rhinowalk rackless saddlebags on mine and it works perfect for commuting to work, grabbing some groceries and just general day to day stuff. Second- this is SUCH a forgiving bike to learn on. The throttle response is super smooth and predictable while not being completely boring. This little guy likes to rip off a line and while it's definitely not the fastest bike by any stretch of the imagination, its plenty of fun for bopping around town and out in the twisties while not completely ripping your arms off if you fuck up a bit while learning. Third- The TFT is fantastic and with the recently updated CF Moto app gives a ton of peace of mind. You get STANDARD - navigation and GPS monitoring and Bluetooth. The app monitors your bike and will notify you of any vibrations, as well as monitor the bikes location. You can even set up geo fences with notifications for when the bike has exited and entered them so you'll know down to the minute if anyone touched your bike and where they're taking it. That alone is worth the price of admission. Fourth- Warranty. People will spout all day "oh you should have got a used Kawi 300 for the same price!!" and yea...those are great bikes, but they'd be used. For the same price you're getting a brand new bike with a great warranty so you've got peace of mind knowing that if something blows its not your ass on the line. While I'm on that...there's been zero reliability issues with the bike so far, despite the miles I've put on it in such a short time. My only minor gripe with the bike is that the throttle is a little janky from factory with a bit of play. You can (and should) adjust this. If you're on the fence about a 300 naked and looking for a great bang for your buck for your first bike, a commuter or just a goofy, fun machine, this is a great buy and I would highly, highly recommend. You really can't beat it for the price.

Best video on this bike as of yet. Bought one this week here in WV, took it on the 158 mile trip home. It did pretty good on the highway, stood up to 65 to 67 mph pretty easily, didnt really get blown around at all. I just wanted something to ride back roads and do all the scenic stuff here in wv without a big bike. I've rode 30+ years, and have had too many bikes. This one is just fun. Its just a neat little machine. People should stop dumping on the 300 class and try one. Oh... and 158 miles later, I pulled in my driveway with almost a half tank left. Gotta love that. Thanks for the great content, keep it up and stay safe!

@@sci-fyguy7767, I'd say of all the bikes I've owned, the fact that I can use absolutely all the throttle pretty much all the time is awesome. No surprises, smooth response, itll get crazy if you make it, but no surprises. I'm too old to try 186 on the road now, so having a bike that I can flick around so easily if I want to is just a blast. It reminds me of the 125 class dirtbikes I used to race as a teenager, so responsive, and fun, but by no means slow in the hands of an experienced rider. I'm having a blast being on a bike again, I just didnt think I would have so much fun on a 300 class.

The 160 khm max speed but all you keep in mind that the engine has a speed limiter install on the ecu.The engine doesn't rev up at 1200rpm is hit the redline at 8000rpm.So if anyone is flashing the ecu to remove the speed limiter easily will hit 175 kmh.

@@dukeloo , the ride from the dealer to the house was 158 miles, about half was highway, the rest was up and down some pretty steep and twisty mountain roads. Highway, it ran 67 to 70 pretty comfortably, and even more so in the " mountain climbing" portion. Although I didnt watch the mpg at that time, I did make it back home with just under half a tank. Usually, watching the fuel gauge, monitor thing on the tft, it's always way upwards of 70, and shows an average of 91+. I dont trust it to be that accurate tho. I just know that its ALOT. It just sips fuel, even tho I'm finding out its limits now that break in is done and I'm pushing it a bit more. For just cruising and city riding and not pushing the speedo much ( I paid for the whole speedo, I'm gonna use the whole speedo) it would be one of those maybe need a full tank once in a blue moon as a short commuter bike.

@@wilburcolvin9322 clearly there is an opinion about where a motorcycle is manufactured and given that it will have quality or not.I can be in favor of this with a clear example of the Honda storm 125 made in china (really crap) yamaha makes several models in Indonesia with good quality. Brazil makes various models of honda and yamaha with good quality. Kawasaki is better than cf moto yes clearly. bmw makes a model in India the r310 with good quality. Mack and Volvo are owned by a Chinese company And the quality of their products is maintained. Over time, Japanese motorcycle companies do not maintain a stock of spare parts for not so old models. I think everything is changing very quickly in the world Harley is having severe financial problems. India's Bajaj bought 48 percent of KTM company . Kawasaki motorcycles has severe economic problems and was able to resist because it manufactures railway rolling stock . Taiwan: I think that at my age to believe that some are good and others are bad is wrong. they are all bad and never do anything for people.

You’re the only guy who has an in depth honest review of this bike and is making me truly consider picking up a 2022 model at my local family owned dealer, I had a couple of questions I hoped to get answers for that I couldn’t find any info for online, what’s the aftermarket support for these so far in terms of exhaust upgrades, air/oil filters, potential tuning? And is it true that the CFMoto connection app also includes a GPS device from factory (bike theft is a big issue in my city and no matter what bike I choose I’ll be getting a tracker on it, so if I don’t have to buy a third party GPS that’ll be a huge selling point for me.
@Omni_Moto
@Omni_Moto Жыл бұрын
Hey Axio, thanks for your comment. Aftermarket support is slowly coming around, but to be completely up front, it’s mostly AliExpress and eBay parts, which is really just Chinese stuff. CFMOTO is just starting to get their OEM accessory catalog started with levers and other small bits and pieces. We probably won’t see big aftermarket support from large name vendors until they’ve been around for a few years in the US and show they have reliable bikes. I’m not aware of any tuning for the ECU or piggy back modules at this time. The GPS function is for turn-by-turn navigation, but other than that I don’t think the bike has any sort of tracking device so you’ll probably have to stick with 3rd party vendors. If you want a wide range of accessories and aftermarket support, this might not be the right bike for you. If you can live with AliExpress/eBay accessories, you will get along with it great. Hope this helps. Thanks!

@@Omni_Moto I appreciate the reply! I do very much enjoy making my bike my own apart from everyone else’s but the more research I do honestly I’m not too concerned with making upgrades to a 300cc it’s technically going to be my first street bike and I’ll most likely use it to get better and learn the right lessons to keep myself above ground, I got the chance to take one on a test ride and so far it’s perfect for what I need it to do (and that stock exhaust is actually pretty impressive for a small displacement bike) that 2yr warranty sold me on it, I can ride and learn with no worries of turning it into a cash dump 😁 thanks again!

And how did your specific dealer mishandle it? Did you contact their US HQ in Minneapolis, as I hear they want to know customer feedback. And I've heard of bigger issues with the Honda 300 platform than just about anything else in this class, but that product line of Honda's is apparently made in Thailand. You can't really judge anything by brand name or supposed country of origin at this point, with Honda in Thailand and India, KTM in China and India, BMW 310 completely made by TVS in India, and companies like Zongshen and CFMoto making all kinds of stuff for other brands. TBH, it doesn't matter WHERE something is manufactured, but HOW - and all the good plants are using CNC machines and 6 Sigma methods which means it doesn't much matter.

excellent review! I am currently on a small cruiser (suzuki tu250x) and want to purchase this bike. Will I see a huge difference in maneuvering, speed, and torque with this bike?
@Omni_Moto
@Omni_Moto 2 жыл бұрын
Cruisers are not known for their phenomenal handling or top speed, and are mainly focused for comfort, down low torque, and cruising at constant speeds. Normally have softer suspension that mitigates feedback from the road but doesn’t give amazing back-road carving feel. This 300NK is a true sport bike, which are more focused on handling and rapid acceleration. Normally lower torque numbers because of smaller CC’s, but don’t let those few lb-ft of fool you - sport bikes are also more lightweight than their cruiser counterparts so the power to weight ratio may allow you to move off the line quicker. In terms of slow sleep maneuvers, the 300NK’s taller seat height will feel a little strange at first, but you’ll find with its low weight and friendly/forgiving engine characteristics, it’s very easy to move around in slower and tighter areas. Hope this helps!

Novice question. This is a single cylinder, would that qualify it as being known as a thumper?
@Omni_Moto
@Omni_Moto 2 жыл бұрын
Hey, great question! Yes, this is a thumper engine. It will have a different exhaust note than most dirt bikes though because of its dual overhead cam set up. Most thumper dirt bikes are air-cooled with single overhead cam, and rev a little slower which leaves more time for the exhaust to create the note you might be familiar with on pit bikes, 230 trail bikes, and the likes of which. Dual overhead cam engines rev quicker and have a slightly different note because of that. Hope this answers your question!

Hey, I've been looking to get my first motorcycle ever next spring and I was picking between BMW G310R and KTM Duke 390 (and Honda CB300R but as a last option). However, I just found this bike and I really, really liked it because it seems like a perfect blend of the Duke and the G310R (I am 173cm tall). I am not really looking for power, my main goal is to use it as a city commuter and occasionally hit the mountain roads just for fun (not to scrape knees). Since it's been a while since you are riding/selling those, what are the most common issues they face and are there parts available? On the plus side, there is a guy that sells them too so I guess the warranty would be valid but what concerns me the most is if I have to wait, let's say, 2 months for a part to arrive.
@Omni_Moto
@Omni_Moto 2 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for a great question. Though we’ve sold all of our original CF inventory from when I made this video, I haven’t seen a single one come back for any issue other than 1 with a problem on the gauge cluster. Customer brought it back, CF accepted the warranty claim, and they had parts within 2 weeks to replace it - I think it was a bad harness or something. Parts availability varies largely depending on what the product is though. Something with a microchip very well could take up to 2 months, but that’s almost all OEMs still with all of the logistical and supply chain issues. It’s starting to clear up for sure though, and hopefully that negative aspect of manufacturing will cease to exist and things become somewhat normal again for parts availability. The 300NK is very close to the CB300R across the whole spec sheet. I’m not familiar KTM and BMW Duke 390/G310R models as I’ve not had a chance to swing a leg over one. Per your description though, if you don’t need anything incredibly powerful or special, the 300NK is a stellar bike loaded with value and features you’re going to want. Don’t break the bank, and ride without compromise - Go for the CFMOTO. (Just my opinion, spend your money how you want!) Ride safe. 😎

If you change the full exhaust system it might increase acceleration even more
@Omni_Moto
@Omni_Moto 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Steve, thanks for your comment! A full exhaust system provides a few benefits. An often overlooked advantage of a full exhaust system is the weight loss, which improves your power-to-weight ratio - if you can get more power/pound, you'll always improve acceleration. Of course there is the benefit of being able to flow air more efficiently as well, which means your engine performance is better and will result in (again) better acceleration. Sometimes an exhaust will need to be supplemented with a fuel-controller to make sure you aren't harming your engine though, so always double check that.

@Omni_Moto
@Omni_Moto 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jemo, thanks for the comment. Every dealership is different with their set up/prep charge. They usually have 1 set fee for all full size products for standardization purposes. Some machines take longer than others, and some bikes are as simple as you say while others are more complex and require more labor hours. That being said, when you buy a new motorcycle/car/boat there is always going to be a prep fee. It is a way for dealerships to generate profit on top of the already existing margin of the motorcycle. If dealerships sold a 300NK at MSRP, they'd net about $300 profit. $300 doesn't go very far at a store with a long list of employees, doesn't pay the salesman very well, and doesn't keep the lights on. Some deals it may seem like the dealership is "getting one over" on the customer, but when customers allow dealerships to generate more profit, it makes it easier for them to serve customers post-sale with parts and service departments. There are some dealerships out there implementing some pricing upcharges, but in this market where volume isn't readily available, they rely on gross profit to supplement that. Eventually I'd like to do a video going in depth regarding the whole process of selling a new motorcycle, and explain why these "bullshit fees" aren't actually bullshit. I hope this response gives a little more insight and provides a tad better understanding for the dealership side of things. Thanks again for writing, and I appreciate your subscription! See you in the next one.

I used to own an R3 so I'd be worried about not having enough power. Could this do 70-75mph comfortably without destroying the engine?
@Omni_Moto
@Omni_Moto 2 жыл бұрын
It held 70 fairly well. I’d only concerned with steep grades on the interstate, but 80% of US highways are no higher than 70MPH. It can definitely do it, and as long as you do all of the recommended service and maintenance I don’t foresee any issue with engine longevity and reliability.

Hey man, I've had one since March this year and it comfortably cruises along at 120KMs (~75mph). I've had it up to 150KMs (~93mph), but wouldn't do that too often.

I really want to see a review on the 300SS. it should be close to what the 300nk can do but I’d like to see if it rides better or worse.

When our set-up team gets one of the 300SS put together, I’ll do my best to get a review out for that one as well. Will have a lot of the same features, but suspension, gearing, and seating position will likely be the big key differences.

I have the NK just change the position for more sport conduction on SS and best on high speed by other hand you have a more comfortable position for a day to day in the city . the suspension is firm not hard .great for more control and performance but is a pain in the as.. over cobble stones streets

I’m interested in the 650nk or the 700clx

@@MagWire8 on banks tested the engine have 63 hp for the nk 650. cf moto declare 60hp. clx 700 cf moto declare 74 hp not tested yet . 3700 bucks price difference in my country . the cf moto 650 is more heavy than the 700clx with less power . the 700 is polivalent for dirt and asphalt the the dashboard on the clx is not a tft color. the sound on the clx is amazing force to accelerate all the time just to hear the beast

would you say someone who is 6’4 would fit comfortably on this bike?
@Omni_Moto

I would say they would fit, but comfortable might mean something different for you than for me. I’m 6’1 and I was comfortable the whole way. Go sit on one if you have the chance!

Temperatures run a tad warm, but it's not anything significantly more than other available models from other OEMs.

Is this bike good for long trips ?
@Omni_Moto
@Omni_Moto 7 ай бұрын
This bike is okay for moderate length trips. It depends on the speed limits you want to maintain. If you need to be doing 60MPH consistently, you'll be fine with it. If you need to be constantly doing 80MPH, you'll be straining it. Anything in between is fairly situational. Hope that helps answer your question. Thanks for watching.

So is this to say it shouldn’t be taken on the interstate?
@Omni_Moto
@Omni_Moto Жыл бұрын
It can be taken on the interstate, I just wouldn’t expect a ton of passing power - especially on steep inclines. If you buy it, do what you want with it. 😄

Would love a similar video with the cf moto 650nk. I just test rode both and the difference was huge - but I am a new rider. I’d be curious to now your thoughts.

Didn’t ever top it out. I’d guess right at 100MPH. We do sell them. Right around $5,300 before taxes.
