Just thought I'd post this, I haven't uploaded in a while and some might find the info useful.
So, the following minor issues have appeared on my machine since I bought it.
#1 Cracked heat shield
Not sure how it happened, I'm guessing it had a stress fracture to begin with and the vibrations from regular use simply made the crack wander from one side to the other. It was an easy but perhaps not a very pretty fix. Couple of drilled holes, 2 mm pre-drilled sheet metal, couple of screws, done. If you know someone that can weld aluminum, this can be fixed in no time at all.
#2 Broken exhaust spring.
I guess the spring simply wore out or I had a bad spring. I bought a pack of 4 new springs for like 4 bucks, took 5 mins to replace, no big deal.
#3 Hairline crack in the front heat shield
A small crack in the heatshield that goes over the exhaust sensor, near the 4 springs. I patched this with exhaust tape, no big deal.
That's pretty much it. Is this normal? Probably not. Is it a big deal? Not really. Whether it's an indication of the overall quality of parts, I can't say. The machine runs perfectly fine and I haven't had any issues with the rest of it. Belt seems to be holding up, it still gears up and down nicely and the top-speed is unchanged. This is my first CFMoto, so we will see how it holds up over the next 3000+ kilometers.

The 800 was released like a month after I got the 550. They couldn't let me hand this one in and just trade up without losing a lot of money in the process. Doh! The 550 is a fine machine though. It does what I need an atv to do without any trouble.

Odd place to ask that. But no, it's been years since I played MH. Might play the next game in the series if all my friends buy it.

Top speed?

I've only ever gone as high as 96km/h, didn't dare to go higher. But I think it tops out at roughly that or just below 100. A new belt might push that higher, but I can't say for sure.
