CFMOTO 800NK - First ride

Looks like 2023 motorcycle season is coming to an end, with leaves and temperatures droping, but then sudden CF MOTO appeared. Last ride of the season - first ride on 800NK. I quite like it. When you ride the upper half of rev range it is so sweet and controllable. I was struggling a bit with jerky throttle when riding through city at first, but you will get used to it. KYB suspension is a bit stiffer, but adjustable and really inspires your confidence. For me definitely above average example of affordable middle-weight nakeds. Very good value for it's price.

Yup I’m in Ohio & patiently waiting on the Advanced model. My local dealer has 2 base 800NK in stock but Nobody can tell me if/when the Advanced will come

@@exotics4life618 I wrote to CFMOTO and they won't comment either, just said they have nothing to say until there is a public announcement. The only problem is they don't really make public announcements in the USA. This is why I just might buy a Yamaha MT09 SP instead, at least they tell you what is up.

How does it feel without traction control? That’s the one thing I wish it had. Otherwise looks awesome.

There are a lot of green plants and beautiful scenery, especially from 01:40 to 03:14, the roads are smooth, there are few cars and people, and it is very pleasant to ride. External mic I'm not sure if it has some resonance?

Ho can you keep that screen on only with RPM and speed on all scree? I just bought the 800nk advanced last week, I haven't figured out this yet

Nice review, just bought this NK450, first time riding clutch driven motorcylce, its kinda worrying because everytime I downshift to 1st gear then blip the throttle( have this behavior of blipping the throttle multiple times while the clutch is engange) my engine sometime dies. Is tihs normal? As per the manufacture its an ECU thing getting confuse. Pls help. thank you

There are 2 trim variants - "Sport" and "Advanced" Sport: subtle, smaller, landscape dash Advanced: (in video) bigger, portrait Did not really liked that - on ADV bike, why not, but it really weirds me out here on naked. On the other hand it also comes with epic quickshifter, like really racing level smooth (can't spec that on the basic Sport trim so far) It should have been able to link with your phone for navigation, works well with Apple they said ... no luck with my shitty Xiaomi tho. I am here only for that sweet QS - they really should allow the option of small dash+QS

As said in description - a bit struggle on city riding, had to tone it down, even into rain mode for a very first ride. But when you open up, upper part of rev range 7000+ is sooo smooth and sweet (quickshifter as well - very tight, truly feeling "shiftless"), almost no vibration (for 2cyl). You can ride it down low, as it is pretty big CC, but this thing lives for revs for sure! So that and maybe gearing felt a tiny bit long? Sometimes I rode it 1 gear lower than most other bikes at same places. Definitely trackday friendly - confidence inspiring, I will have to ask, if it would be possible to try it on track (usually not :D )

​​@@Low_power_BMW I had the same problem with the new Honda Hornet... The Honda drove quite restlessly at low revs, not only in sports mode, but also in other modes. Of course, the gas was most sensitive to the sport mode, but even so, in combination with the braking system using the engine, it was terribly twitchy and annoying😒 I wish this bike was a little better at this because I like it a lot, but if you had the same problem with it as with the Hornet, I probably won't buy this Nk800 either, because maybe I don't want to ride full throttle all the time and max revs just to make the bike run smoothly😔 Greetings from Czech Republic and have a nice day👍🤜🤛🏍🍀🙋‍♂️
