The amount of people that pull out in front of bikes is insane in Perth! I never realised how bad it was until I started riding. Stay safe brotha!

I'm so torn between it and the Grom. Biggest issue for me is that they're not really available for me here. The nearest one available is hours away from me. And there's not really an aftermarket scene like the Grom, which is a huge part of the fun. But I love the styling more for the Papio XO-1 (called SS here) plus it's a few hundred $ dollars cheaper at base model than the Groms here, especially the Grom ABS model. Papio SS has more value for the money for base I believe with some of the features; heck even an OEM windshield is extra from the Grom. It would be my first motorcycle. I don't really want anything bigger. It's mostly for me to commute to work and back and enjoy some scenic rides. I also wanted to ask, since you are experienced with motos, I noticed the Papio engine cycler is more upright vs the Grom's which is horizontal. Does that change the characteristics?

@@CheapSushi value for money, You'll be hard pressed to find something better than the Papio. Like you said, the Papio sells for a lower price brand new. However, I would lean towards a Grom more than a Papio for a few reasons. 1. It's proven reliability. I'm sure the Papio's engine is solid but Groms have been thrashed by stunters, commuters and mini adventures, and still begs for more. 2. Parts availability, both aftermarket and OEM. 3. Riding position. Now this one only applies for the XO Papio Racer because I know CFMoto do a trial version as well. The Grom has a more comfortable upright riding position which is better for extended use. 4. More diy content. Forums, YT, FB groups, you name it, the internet is saturated with Grom content. Surely, you can find a low mileage used Grom for a good price. The Z125 is also a solid alternative. However, the Papio is an impressive lil bike.

I've been thinking about getting a mini bike (Bitcoin is up!) Can't buy a new Grom anymore, and the Monkey's are still expensive. I was looking at the Honda Navi which is a scooter pretending to be a motorcycle but seems good for the price. I am wary of Chinese bikes due to quality but the Papio Racer looks good and it's not like I'd put a lot of K's on any mini bike anyway. Cheers!

$4,300 for a brand new fuel injected motorbike that you can ride on the road is almost unheard of. However, I'd recommend checking out the Papio Trail if you end up committing. It doesn't look as cool as the Racer version, unfortunately, but it will be a lot more playful and versatile.

I would skip the Navi. Carry bike in 2024? Passssss. They look cool but. I have had many many Groms and Monkeys and CT125's and I reckon the Papio is the next guy for me.

@@josefpoole Makes sense. The specs are comparable to the Honda's and the ride away price is good, you could use the savings on some mods.

@@CRFLAus I realise I miss-spelled carby haha. The Navi is a carbureted bike and in 2024, that’s just not cool
