Spot on analysis. I agree 100% with Varun's commentary on America's energy needs, markets, regulatory burdens and opportunities.

The regenerative grid theory, along with massless energy generation, are the ways to go. What steps are being taken to build out these options? Increasing canopy, spreading healthy soils, and returning herds and flocks are goals to pursue, as well. Technological methods are the far less efficacious steps to take, when compared to biome-based ones. The power matrix would be a 5 to 1, with nature in the lead in terms of impact. Another area to gain knowledge in would be in airsheds. These mapped streams are not deeply scrutinized, as of yet.

Vanadium batteries and hydrogen can be used to capture surplus energy, and input energy streams into the grid, as well. Making use of high technology like these methods, would be far more profitable than sticking with current forms.

Reselling older solar panels is an option. Solar panels are an asset.

Data centers have to vertically integrate their power needs, just like steel companies or large manufacturers did in the past. If the current system is left as is, it is just an extra-legal tax.

The global goal should be getting to an atmospheric CO2 density that matches 1900 levels. That trajectory should be the heuristic by which to navigate, once it becomes clear humanity can manage and comprehend the means to lower CO2 density with a fairly high degree of accuracy. Learned boards and societies would need to decide the many measures needed to realize the navigation. Giving up, as some seem to suggest, is hardly an option.

Solar panels never wear out, and should be donated to another place that can benefit from the free energy.
