After looking into what makes this wheel different from other less expensive options there were two things that stood out.
1) The quality of this wheel is just about perfect to my untrained eye. It isn't just the same wheel rewrapped with something different but instead the wheel has been re-designed to fit your hand better. It is thicker in the middle at 3 and 6 o'clock. The top of the wheel has finger slots.
2) You don't have to swap over the guts from your old wheel but instead comes with new ones. All you do is just slip it on.

Always remove the GROUND Cable not the POSITIVE Cable. It you touch metal when removing or attaching the Positive Cable you will complete a circuit and could cause damage. If you remove the Ground Cable, you break the circuit without any chance of shorting out by touching metal.

Great video. Love that you show the potential struggles of installation. IMPORTANT Side note...ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS remove Negative terminal First or Only instead of Positive terminal. You can cause an Electrical Short if Positive is removed first, messing up electrical wiring in the car. Potentially even causing a spark, destroying or exploding battery (at worst case scenario). {Real life example...I'm a firefighter and had a call a few years back where that is exactly what happened, not pretty} Not sure why the horn still worked. Maybe because the battery it was still grounded? Disconnecting main battery under seat (then waiting five minutes) will ensure total safety from airbags (12v only should do the job tho), as well as avoid all the screen warnings and resets.

I'll be happy with my stock steering wheel if Tesla offers the paid upgrade to unlock the heated steering wheel function (like they do with the heated back seats). I have a Model 3 SR+ that does have the necessary hardware, it's just not unlocked. They've said they will be offering this, but don't have a timeframe yet.

That's a good point!!! I was looking at other wheel options and you can pay $700 but then you have to swap out the guts from the original so I don't think the price is too bad.

When you are disconnecting a 12V battery, you should disconnect the negative side, not the positive. electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/230609/why-to-disconnect-the-negative-ground-terminal-not-positive As an 'influencer' you really need to model correct behavior instead of taking silly risks. Having the car wake up all the time is really bad, and you have no idea whether it might damage the car. Any time you are working around airbags you really, really need to be fully powered off. Ask yourself how you are going to feel if someone follows your video and winds up hurt? Avoiding accidents is worth the extra time spent.
