My theory when CG releases something new is that they do 0 testing with it, wait for ahnald to do a stream on it, watch the stream, and make a community update 2 days later about all the UnIntEnDeD iNtErAcTiOnS. Y'know aside from bounty hunters ignoring tie defender but tbh i hope they never fix that because they'll also most likely nerf tie defender in addition to the bug fix

It's interesting that Malevolence struggles so much against Leviathan, when against Executor and Profundity (before new ships were added) Malevolence was often the only or the best off meta counter against those two.

Malevolence is weak to daze since the majority of its burst damage is from Separatists (mainly Vultures) ship mass assisting on enemies afflicted with Buzz Droids, the Sith Bomber puts a hard stop to all of that due to an almost constant stream of concussions mines from Sith Bomber passive and special that inflict daze when they explode and these no way to dispell them and on top of that the Leviathan lineup can self clean itself from buzz droids making it harder to keep the main core debuff of Malevolence in.

I remember CG Cary in an interview after leaving the job saying she didn’t feel good about how many bugs they KNOWINGLY released, which back then wasn’t bad at all compared to now. Enemy capital ships have been providing unique bonuses after being destroyed for ages too. Executors apply the undispellable breach and target lock to enemies from the contract on unique even if the X has been taken out

Its just a theory but I think the Falcon is taking into account the Ferocity that is being inflicted on the sith team toward the 3 debuffs being cleansed on Y-Wing.= at 6:29. Sith got cleansed too.

its because of the locked bombs. 2 bombs + daze = insta cleanse everytime there is 2+ bombs applied, the next debuff definitely will cleanse.

I think you need to try those counters on leviathan with Sith Fighter in the starting lineup, the fleet is so much better with it there. People are sleeping on just how good that ship is for leviathan outside of prof matches

I've not found that anymore difficult to beat with executor whatsoever. Feels like it's basically the same battle. Maybe against the lesser capital ships like negotiator or chimaera?

The release of the Leviathan is the final nail in the coffin for me. Before I was "no way they don't test stuff, it's millions of dollars" Now I'm sure, they actually don't test at all.. 1playthrough vs all ships and you would see all these bugs.

My long-term concern about Leviathan is the mirror matches you did. When my profundity and executor were at low stars, some smart strategy and luck could beat higher-star mirrors. But you can't do that with leviathan because so much of its functionality is locked into having it at 7. And it's a speed race to sabotage engines, which basically sets the match. So unless they stick with that AI misplay, it's a coin flip.

With the debuff cleanse what is happening is it’s counting the thermal detenators as three or more debuffs so it’s cleasining the debuffs but since the thermals can’t be cleansed it looks like there being cleansed when only one or two debuffs are being applied but technically the ships do have three or more debuffs since each thermal detanator counts as it’s own individual debuff.

It’s happening though when there aren’t any concussion mines. Check my previous video where I show still shots. Even so, it is only suppose to cleanse when there are three *different* debuffs. Here is what the ability says: When another Rebel ally is inflicted with 3 or more different debuffs, the Falcon dispels all debuffs on them

I think the mirrors will be pretty bad at the same speed, because the enemy ship in your battle only got sabotage the hangars off first because it was slowed down enough to get all the debuffs before it’s turn, which I don’t think will be that common. You were destined to win from turn one since you won the flip and sa outages their engines first

My levitation has stayed in the top 5 so far, so I guess it’s been doing ok on defense, and I am able to beat profundity and executor, and mirror matches are usually a coin flip whoever goes first.

Gist of the video/thoughts - Executor, pretty fair match. Profundity, probably a good counter (bugs aside), but Leviathan can still squeak out wins. Raddus probably won't be a counter at 7*, but can win at lower star levels. Chimaera can fight back, but needs to be played pretty well in order to actually win. Negotiator can compete, but needs to be played well. Bugs riddled this fight, so hard to say definitively. Malevolence definitely isn't going to do the job. Ahnald's was lower stars, but even at higher stars it seems like an uphill struggle I would think. Executrix pretty safe bet that the Leviathan will just straight up win every time. Finalizer was no match either. Ahnald did not test Home One, I'm assuming he might have already in a previous video and I missed it.

I had started farming and upgrading for this capital ship, but I may stop and wait to see what happens. My Executor can take them out amazingly fast when they are on defense, so not seeming like the juice is worth the extremely high priced squeeze unless CG makes some big changes.

New capital ships take priority over everything and anything. Climbing fleet for daily crystal payout, and mid-high Elo in gac it always comes down to fleet diff.

Do you think that using all available Empire ships to make a fleet would allow you to beat Leviathan? I feel, based on this video, that maybe the Thrawn team could win if they had Shuttle or Gauntlet instead of Reaper. I know that is using 2 fleets to beat one, but if it is against a top tier fleet and you're losing 2 lower tier fleets, it might be worth it. Also, it seems like it is a good idea to bring a burner ship to eat the reinforcement destruction against 7* Leviathans. Especially Phantom seems great, since the reinforcement ability still triggers.

I wonder how the capital ship being destroyed by bug affects GAC. I guess Holdo destroys both ships so maybe it’s fine but by the interceptor it’s a glitch so i wonder if their capital ship would respawn or remain dead if you attacked someone and timed out.

I was expecting to see leviathan performing without too many bugs, and doing work (though not being completely busted) at both 4 and 7 stars, on both offense and defense, vs both the meta fleets, and lower level fleets. Even if they do buff it after fixing the bugs, it is taking too long to see where this ship actually stands in the meta, so I'm switching my focus away from levi and toward profundity instead, because I KNOW that that ship is good at 4 stars right now. If levi does end up being as good as they promised, and/or worth the relics, then I might end up finishing the farm, but as it stands, I'd rather go for a ship that I know I can use at low stars, and that I know is good.

My triple attacker lost - Levi got the ult, I took out 4 of their ships, but at the end their ITB and mk6 managed to tank long enough to kill off my ships

I disagree slightly. I find it destroys everything on offense at 7* and good pilots. If you use B-28, Fury, and Dorito with SF (scimitar can also work) and Mark VI as reinforcements , you can full-auto. You sometimes lose a ship in the Profundity battle, but the Executor is clean. Once the bugs are fixed, it will be an even bigger offensive monster. Defense and low star viability are another discussion.

I strongly believe that CG is going to use the community to test the new toons/ships. Easy cost cutting measure. Sort of like the pc/console releases. Buggy as all hell for an earlier release and bug fixes through patches.

Leviathan was the first legendary/journey guide unit I unlocked on day 1. I even got enough crystals to 7* it immediately. Needless to say, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day was ruined by its performance.

Malevolence is a strong counter to leviathan, you’re using the wrong lineup. Put vulture in the reinforcements, let it get destroyed, new vulture spawns and you get turn meter

Everyone complaining about Leviathon clearly doesn’t understand that harder requirements doesn’t equate to a better unit. Look at Lord Vader. He has the highest reqs GL-wise and gets dominated by JMK, among others. I’m not saying it’s right, I’m just saying it shouldn’t be shocking to anyone who’s been paying attention.
