If at first you don't understand, you aren't alone, but read the doc in the description and when you get it it really hits so much harder. If you don't want that, basically Flint, the person in the video, finds a glowing orb that passes through his heart and gives him happiness.He spends more time with it and forgets about the graffiti he loved to do. At one point he's in a depressed state and becomes angry for no reason then puts himself in danger. Then, the orb tries to give him the spray but he lost his spark with graffiti so he gives up on it and as the orb loses its power, it fades away.

This song dropped at a point in my life when I was ready to die. Throughout the entirety of 2023 I was depressed to the point of attempting several times. This song was exactly my mental state at that time, I didn't feel like I could control my own mind and I was in the passenger seat but still trying to make the best of it. I used to listen to this song on loop back and forth to my psych appointments and even during the very few times I was okay during that year I listened to this song. It all came to a head when I was institutionalized on the 10th of October. I'm not okay, but I'm doing much better now. This song for that reason will hold a special place in my heart, not for making sure I was good, but making sure I was okay.

What I get from this is, the orb is the unrebellious spirit to live without the disatification of needing to please yourself or others. To unconcern yourself to the problems that are growing. It hits home hard for me, due to the fact that I myself have depression and it had gotten to the levels shown in the animation, shown in the lyrics. Yeah, somedays I feel miserable. That hopeless feeling of loss until discovering that what you loss isn’t fully gone, perhaps just hidden or rearranged to look a tiny bit different. All in all, it’s something many of us can relate to. That light for me was the world of fiction. The characters, fandoms, and songs were the things to keep me going when no one else would. Also I love all the references to previous songs, memes, and fandoms. Gravity Falls actually got me into Cg5, Or3o, and TLT as well as various other fandoms. The first time I listened to this, I already knew it was going to be in my head for days. This song is truly something else. As someone with Depression and Anxiety+ stuff this video literally made me realize how the hell I can describe the fear and sorrow. But with ADHD or ADD (they haven't told me which one.) its just that little bit of joy that always follows you- and I know thats not really what its about but this video/song makes it at least easier to explain to people who don't understand and think I'm being over dramatic or using MD as excuses.

My interpretation of the song and visuals: A graffiti artist is living their normal life. Eat, sleep, art, repeat. One day, they start hearing a whispering voice invading their mind. Sometimes it's happy, sometimes it makes them 4get things, and sometimes it's sad. This voice slowly becomes more and more real with each passing day, making the person forget a lot of things and feel emotions they don't usually feel. The voice also makes the person feel 'grey' at times (surrounded by a world of grey). As the artist slowly becomes more and more disconnected from their normal life, the voice grows louder. They try to avoid it, hence all the running scenes and the almost-accident scene, when they reach a dead end - their old painting spot. The art soothes the voice as it grows fainter and fainter, finally going away. The artist realizes that art saved them, as they establish a new relationship with their art and roots and finally leads a normal life again. Tell me what you think! It could also be an awareness song about mental health but idk
