Can we appreciate how warm, inviting, and safe this song is dispite it primarily depicting violence and turbulence? I feel like it reflects techno pretty well. Even when he seemed like he was being actively malicious or mean in character, you could still feel how he genuinely cared for the people around him. It wasn't about acting as his acting was convincing, but unlike other members in the dsmp it felt like his character and him personally were diffrent from each other. You could feel the disconnect between him personally and his character, and for me that made him one of the only members I could stand watching. I hated watching people I was emotionally invested in do nothing but suffer, but technoblade was someone you could rely on to be okay. He makes things feel like they'll be okay, no matter what. I'm happy that the feeling stayed even after he had gone.

The funny thing is that I didn't like the song all that much originally, and some others shared such an opinion, most expected something more metal. But this song has grown on me, and feels strangely more peaceful now. I hope he rests well, in the place that finished stories go.

I love how well this captures Technoblade's character The music is calming and soft, but the words are violent, showing that Techno is a calm and often soft person, but he holds violent ideals and is perfectly capable and willing to kill for them. This duality between the music and lyrics represents how Techno won't hesitate to attack, but he'll also never hesitate to show mercy if his enemy shows signs of genuine regret. The only times he hasn't extended an olive brace is right after a betrayal when his emotions are still running high and he hasn't had time to think about how he feels. I wouldn't say he ever forgives people, but he doesn't let that bitterness in his heart take up the room he makes for second chances

I dont normally comment on videos but this one felt right, its been a year and a day since his passing and so many are still in awe in what was Technoblade. He lives on amongst many communities, and his unfortunate passing has touched so many people, even those who knew little about what a "Technoblade" was. I often come back to this song to reminisce the enjoyment him and many others gave me, I remember logging off from my online school to load up KZbin and searching "Technoblade sky block" and it gave the so much happiness, in fact my eyes lit up out of joy some would say. Years later i get a notification from my friend it was a link to a video, Technoblade, i was confused since they knew i left the DSMP community after covid but i clicked on the video, "so long nerds", Technoblade was dead. I dont know why but that video touched me in some way, knowing he was gone did something, that i couldn't hear any of his old quips in his videos without going to an old one. In December he posted a video, "Elbow reveal", thank you for that scheduled upload, and i cant wait to see if he had any more. A year later i visit this song, as i often do, Thank you CG5, Technoblade never dies.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the animation playing as well? Like how the light from the window changes to red during the chorus, and how it can go from golden, to a dull grey. And also techno's axe on the wall with the pigstep disc too. Not to mention the fact that Techno is actually playing the guitar. You can also see Technos crossbow on the desk and at the fire place theres a skull, the bell he uses for subs and portrait of Technoblade himself. the detail that went into the video is amazing, and it really makes you appreciate the song more. Overall, this is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to see more!

God, you're use of the background window and the colors that shine through it matching the lyrics to a degree is amazing, especially when it's red or white, both having ties to blood, which is obvious, and death, of which only certain cultures like say Japanese associate. It's subtle, but definitely just another great reason to watch these, rather than just listening to them while doing something else.

Maybe those songs are up to your taste and If you want something dramatic (it almost sounds like an ost, so good imo) Yuki's (Yuki, the person Derivakat collab with for the manhunt fan song incase if you can't find her) fan song is also cool. The softer songs or songs that shows more about the other side of Techno's character other than, kill, die, blood, etc. or not metal/rock/loud are the ones I love the most. Edit: "No heroes here" also and other fan songs, though the production may not be the same with how CG5 does it.

For a second I thought he was back, but we lost this legend to the battle of cancer. It was so surreal to me, as if it was a joke for content, but then it set in. I couldn't and still can't believe, he passed away at the age of 23 and didn't even get to live to his fullest. It was too sudden and too soon, but Techno will forever live in our hearts and all videos, clips, tweets, memes and animations of him will keep him alive. He was a great content creator and always did his best to make us laugh or bring a smile to our faces. The joy of creating those videos gave us moments to remember and he will never be forgotten. Technoblade never dies.

the amount of emotion that i felt when "leave them out for dead" is sang is incredible. The way that the calming, melancholy music intertwines with the deadly lyrics is fascinating to someone like me who loves writing (especially musical writing.) The way that the red coming through the windows just goes back to the normal blue in the sky seems like Techno's mind is calming down, and he's coming down to earth again. I'm going on a rant now lol, but this was phenomenally done - good job to everyone who played their parts. Initially i thought this was going to be an up-beat song like Life By The Sea or Muffin, but i was very surprised by this turn.

tbh it kinda shows the conflict in his heart, i mean he will go crazy if someone crosses him or is unjust with him but at the same time it doesnt come from a place of hate for others but a place where he wants things to peaceful and he can just live with his friends happily and just doesnt want another lmanberg power creep, harming each other for the sake of corrupt power, and seeing his friends get hurt too. he yearns for peace but achieving in a violent way due to circumstances which humanizes him in my eyes, i kinda see him like a hero who does good things but as a reward he gets hate and animosity from others which the animation in the song captures perfectly in my eyes

THIS SONG IS AMAZING. Alright, me being a nerd aside, I'll try to keep my rant to a minimum. The general vibe of Technoblade as a character on the SMP is perfectly captured here. His character is not only this violent person who has no way of calm himself down, he plans his moves, he tries his best to fight for what he thinks is right, let's not forget how he mostly fights to forgive and end the cycle of what he thinks is evil and the chill vibes of the instrumental WITH the violent words are exactly what cTechnoblade would actually have as a theme song. "The rain falls red." Is a quote from an old latin poem about war and I think this song together with cTechno fit it. In my honest opinion, this was pretty cool and one of my favourite works of yours.

This was beautiful, the lyrics hit his characters views, beliefs, and experiences while the music kept a slow tired and slightly sad sound. It really felt true to his character, past the loud voices he's known for. It was truly amazing! ^^ It's kinda sad that people always expect C!Techno songs to be intense. His character really only ever gets noticed for the loud and violent things, but in reality his character is a tired man who's awkward and care's deeply for the few friends he has. He gives everything when it comes to people he will call a friend, but keeps getting hurt by others so he chooses to be around animals that are far more loyal friends than people ever have been. His character is way more than loud voices (though we are fun and chaotic ngl) and violence and anarchy.

Agreed, while I do enjoy his intense moments, I also love his soft and tender moments. I’ve been catching up on his streams recently and probably my favorite part of that isn’t the fighting and what not, but the moments with Phil, the syndicate, and even the moments with Tommy. Thought I do scream for blood occasionally while watching. It is also very fun seeing the chat and what they think, like with the egg they were saying things like run, bad egg, and omelette. Overall, Techno’s character is very interesting and diverse in the lore but most people focus on his fighting skills. Even the other players on the dsmp see him only as the blade (techno’s words, not mine).

Granted the voices will push him to violence quickly if that doesn't work and the amount of violence is Earth-shattering, but he isn't a perfect character. His philosophy about the dangers of government has been repeatedly been proven accurate on the server. Tubbo was fine with executions without trial and unilaterally banishing someone. He was even going to execute Dream after claiming peaceful intentions. After the prison break Techno said that people blamed him for destroying L'Manberg, but he just destroyed the houses. 2/3rds of L'Manberg had already defected. They needed to bring in mercenaries so it would be an interesting fight.
