I've been playing elves tribal, and while it's not my strongest deck, it can still compete at high Diamond / low Mythic. The card that's missing here that feels critical to me is Skemfar Shadowsage. Mid-game, it can often drop for 3-10 damage. While the threat of swinging wide with a million elves is exciting, I often find that it's playing Skemfar Shadowsage that actually ends games - especially if you have an Elvish Warmaster or two on the table when it drops.

Maybe a good time to explore some brews? Giants, Felidar Retreat + Iridescent Hornbeetle, Frost Fill combo deck that LVD played. They're certainly not that spikey, and you'd had to deal with early concedes on Play queue, but I'd love to check those out more than just cards I've seen all the time

I’ve been using untapped forever now and it’s amazing, the draft helper immediately helped me win my first draft, the review of my winrate and the way it shows the meta decks and what cards I need to craft them on the linked site is cool as well. Most of all the land count saves me a lot of hassle counting out stupid lands because arena can’t put a simple land counter in the damn game.

I love elves. I've loved them since the first Nissa in Zendikar. Love what Kaldheim brought to elves. I run a version of this deck that has Realmwalker, Skemfar Shadowsage and Bloodline Pretender. It's satisfying getting the win by playing the shadowsage. Opponents never see it coming. Is this a top meta deck? No, but I enjoy it. Better than any brain dead board wipe deck.

No, brawl isn't a ranked mode. Ranked limited or constructed is a different format and rules for deck construction and card legality are a little different than brawl

Since Ikoria, Eldraine and Theros are going to rotate, why don't you play your favorite decks till they are gone (you know what i'm thinking about). If you want to try decks that you think are not going to be that competitive, you can always play events, I feel they have more level than the play queue. I once faced a deck which I fell in love with, but I have never really dare to play with it in ranked. Jeskai control built around Shark Typhoon, Dream Trawler and cheap spells that allowed you to draw as much cards as possible. Dream Trawler killed me in one turn, it became like a 15/5 or so. That deck with Reconstructed History has to be very interesting.

How to play tribal? Well step one is decide if you're gonna play a "deck in a can" like elves or merfolk etc. Or if you're going to make a real tribal deck with the really obscure critters 😉 Very sad that arena doesn't support tribal format.
