AVGN just revieved this game, and yours is so much better, you went into much better detail about mechanics, not only it was much funnier, but more informative :)

That proves that more subscribers doesn't always mean better videos.

@thatguyontheright1 I hope this review didn't make you want to play it. You had the opposite effect of what I was trying to accomplish. Ha ha!! :) ) Thanks for watching!

Ha ha. Yes. As you can tell, I really wanted to like this game. But, that didn't happen. :) Thanks for watching!

I've been saying that since all of my friends started basing their gaming "decisions" on how the game looked only. You know? :) Thanks for watching!!
@spida1a15 жыл бұрын
Ha ha. Yeah! I never realized how much like the AVGN you get when you play a game this way (especially when it's a terrible one). Lol! Thanks for watching!

@SavageBroadcast I have it on the "to do" list (along with the other 80-some still left to review). But, yeah...we'll get to it. Thanks for watching!!

Kay KZbin watcher, First of all, thanks for watching. I do appreciate it. I work hard on the vids and am always thankful. Second of all, if you bothered to watch any of my other videos in this review series before posting, you'll notice they're all "original" works. This style wasn't created by the AVGN, he just happened to catch-on. I decided to take the audience along "with me" for the ride as I played the game, instead of doing it after-the-fact. So, that is "orginal" to my series.

@RedLightBulbs You're not kidding. I LOVE the Capcom Disney games. Sigh! :) Thanks for watching.
@AllHailKingKurt I liked the NES version also. Sigh..if only Capcom had a hand in this version. :) Thanks for watching.

@MFields2178 Ha ha. I'm glad you enjoy it. Hmm........I'm not sure what my "favorite" is. I love a lot of them. As for my least, this is one of them. Another one of them is coming up soon in the reviews. Ha ha.

I remember this game. It was so fascinating to see a licensed game on a system that nobody owned.

Ha ha. Yes, he definitely should. This is as "close to AVGN" that I found myself getting. It's funny how such a frustrating and bad game can bring a ticked-off nerd out of ya'. Ha ha! :) Thanks for watching!

I have seen reviews of this before and it wasn't good; However, you have a different take and so far you haven't really led me astray yet. Now, I'm sure there will be a game of five where we don't agree on but that is not the point. You show me games I would never look at and that's pretty neat. You know...considering Disney's iron grip on their properties this one is quite confusing. During the 16-bit wars Disney gave us Genesis owners pure gold. They were so tightfisted that they had a gane pulled from the shelf due to quality control. I mean, even Castle of Illusion back in '89 as a launch title was not only drop dead gorgeous but played like a dream. Even though I have always hated Disney with a passion (now much more so) I have to admit Aladdin in '92 was a sight to behold. Darkwing Duck is a very strange bird indeed especially considering how white hot that property was back in '92. What was up with that anyway?! Everyone kind of went duck crazy for a while. Darkwing Duck and DuckTales ruled the after school cartoons. Ninja Turtles was slowly fading and being replaced with giant talking mallards. Even though I hated Disney, my heart isn't made of ice. I loved both Darkwing Duck and DuckTales....Life is like a hurricane, here in Duckbird, racecars lasers aeroplanes, it's a duck blur! Might solve a mystery, or rewrite history! DuckTales woo-hoo! Tales of daring do bad and good LuckTales! whoo-oo....sorry. That song is etched into my psyche forever. ;)

Let's not forget one thing: This game is heresy, because it doesn't have Negaduck! At least the NES one had a small cameo, but this one...none at all! (Well, my uncle who HAS the NES game says that there's a small cameo, but I've yet to see it.)

I despise floaty jump controls in games like these, TazMania on the MegaDrive/Genesis also had it, Programmers get too clever and stick too much animation into the jump and end up screwing it up. BTW what was your opinion on the NES version of Darkwing Duck?
@80sMTV14 жыл бұрын
Man, I Used To Watch Darkwing Duck On The Disney Channel And Toon Disney Back Then, But They Don't Show It Anymore. Nowadays Disney Channel's Gone Girly And Toon Disney Changed Into Disney XD.

Yes, me too. I hate to say it but........after playing this one you are reminded WHY the Turbo didn't catch on in the US. You know?

@gregsageisdead Ha ha. TOTALLY! I felt the same exact way...and I "beat it" also because I refused to let it win! HA HA. Never get those moments back, eh? Thanks for watching and commenting!

After watching your Tale Spin review, I agree that Darkwing Duck seems like the lesser of the two.
@ScrewAttackEurope16 жыл бұрын
Aw, that's a shame. Was there some sort of embargo on Capcom from Nintendo in the 80's and 90's, as Sega always published Capcom's games in the West as well. (Strider/Final Fight/Forgotten Worlds Etc.)
@atomofish15 жыл бұрын
Despite all this the game has pretty good graphics. By the screenshots alone, you'd never know how much the game sucked until you see it in action.
@DanielBMS15 жыл бұрын
Hey I remember that! Gamepro had a screenshot and a protip about it if I remember correctly.
@spida1a16 жыл бұрын
I was debating between a 1 or 1.5. The graphics aren't amazing, but they do look "decent." And I like the non-linear part of it. It's not "unplayable" totally (which is what I think a 1 or 1/2 star would be). But, man.......oh man........
@spida1a15 жыл бұрын
I know, definitely. I loved the NES versions of the Capcom Disney games. :)

You sound like an easygoing guy in your other reviews I've seen, but even you can get frustrated. Those controls and collision detection are brutal.
@MarginalSC12 жыл бұрын
Never really thought JJ and Jeff was either, but I get your point. ;) Still, launching off fire hydrants seems similar to that spray can, and all that bouncing... It seems like it had a lot of mechanics in common.
@RocMegamanX13 жыл бұрын
Darkwing Duck should have been on SNES instead of the TurboGrafx after seeing this. At least Capcom knew what they were doing.
