Thanks for this tutorial. One question I have is when to use Groups and when to use Channels.

Groups hold stand data for hair selection sets/groups. This is good for dividing your hair into sections for grooming or applying operators to a group. Channel can be used for parameters with operators for finer lever of control. You also have even more control when you use channels with vertex data to effect the strength of a parameter down the length of a strand. Its this level of control that sets Ornatrix apart from C4D own hair system.

Can you do a tutorial where you do a female hairstyle from start to finish?
@CGDreamsTutorials4 жыл бұрын
Yes that is a possibility. During these Ornatrix videos I made to this point there was some bugs that kept me from doing this. Do you have a suggestion on what style, and I will consider it. I should point you in the direction of Jeordanis, he works for Ornatrix so head over to ornatix C4D facebook where you see videos wh has made, they should be on youtube as well.

@@CGDreamsTutorials I was trying my hand at creating the flip hairsyle such as this: i1.wp.com/www.hairstylesco.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/flip-out-Layered-hairstyles.jpg?resize=375%2C490 but any simple hairstyle will do such as a simple ponytail style. I understand that you've moved to first creating a hair cap to serve as the base of the hair and then using maps to control the hair distribution, but I'm still having trouble figuring out the exact work flow and when to use the grouping and channels. Thanks!
