Honestly, besides being a damage sponge, he is far less pain than Melaiduma in Ys 8, that guy could literally bleed-burn you into 0 HP if you made one wrong move.

It's fun running around from that lightning & boulder throw. But yeah, it gets very intense in the last phase.

I've been sifting through the Dialogue Files of this game, and I noticed one of the ones associated with this guy faintly says "Free at last". I ASSUME that's his Death Sound as I haven't actually fought the guy yet. But that's a little detail to think about.

sadly they actually could make it longer by facing the evil god but they didn't, just like on Ys VIII where you actually go and fight against the god of evolution. i mean, the naval battle needs something to fight other than a flagship, i mean wouldn't you be excited if there's a leviathan-class demon/griegr that guarded the Sea God's Temple? and the Vikings Heroes Trio needs to have more highlights

I’m still not the biggest fan of Break because it just means lumping an extra like ten health bars for no reason, but congrats on beating this boss. Looks like it retains the good ol one hit and you’re gone type difficulty.

You can use skills with long animations to tank hits, although this boss is so jacked it will oneshot you anyway

hello, as an ys fan whos played lacramosa, nox, memories of celceta and origins, i have my fair share of issues with the game. do not buy the switch version, from my experience with the switch version i can confidently say that the switch version suffers from slow down and performance issues that would normaly not be a problem but if your familliar with the other titles youll notice a significant downgrade in performance from previous titles. the game feels like it was developed by a different team entirely, my biggest problem is that everything about the game is so slow, their also feels like their is input delay. with regards to the game being slow, slower running speed, more and longer loading screens, the ship moves at a snails pace, the hoverboard does not keep momentum, also the energetic soundtrack that accompanies these games feels like its missing. some game design features are also irritating, like how in alot of areas the game punishes you for missing a jump by landing you in mud where you will then have to walk slowly to get to shore to try the jump again, holding the use button to open chests and dig is also irritating as more often than not you will instead end up triggering your charge ability. the story so far has been your standard Ys fair so no complaints on that part, but the gameplay is just so bad compared to other ys titles. If this is your first ys game, i highly recommend getting lacramosa of dana instead, no performance issues and a better representation of ys gameplay.

The Switch version was developed in-house at Falcom and was the first title they ever developed for Switch. The previous Switch versions were released by NISA (not sure what company ported the games to Switch, but NISA paid for it and published the Switch versions)

glad they removed flash guard and flash move, unlimited stacking of those two can make you invincible.

Kinda wish they kept the flash dodge, no problem with parrying but its a bit repetitive

They still kinda have it, you can "flash guard" to negate dmg and fill more revenge gauge than normal block but it won't grant 100% crit anymore

Bro is at end game and still has no understanding on the game mechanics other than spam normal and heal. Glad I played this on inferno. Even then this fight took less time than this video lol

I saw another guy do a no hit run on this boss in time attack inferno. Dude was insane.
