At first, Yukari not fighting for the key at the last minute before breaking down felt odd but... the breakdown itself and Mitsuru throwing herself in to help Yukari sort through her grief was... just acted so well and drew more tears than I expected, it definitely hit the mark.

while it was still good, yukaris breakdown wasnt as sad or impactful as the original. (which was a bit disappointing cause it was the part i looked forward to the most) i feel that here she loved him more as a friend she couldnt accept is gone, while in the original she loved him as both a friend and a woman, making it even more painful for her. In the original she showed all stages of grief in one scene. i kinda hoped they just copied the scene exactly like the old one if they didnt think of a way to make it better. I wish she was more angry and tried to take the key from aigis. seriously in the original, she was very CLEARLY in love with the protagonist.

I know what you mean. Her “I don’t care about anything else! I just want to see him again!” Lives rent free in my head. She didn’t get many opportunities to express her affection in the original game and that one moment in the answer shows that it was her single greatest regret. Not just losing him, but not being more honest with her feelings

I dunno what it is about the Reload mixes of the soundtrack, but they lack that 'oomph' of the FES version somehow. It's not just P3 Reload though, a LOT of remixes have that issue where the remixed and rearranged tracks don't have that sense of power and raw badassery that the originals did... I think, the best way I can describe it is that everything sounds... softer? than I remember them.

I hear (😏) what you’re saying, I’d prefer og P3 soundtrack. I do like the new songs for battle but the remix’s feel so weaker, or even annoying with the instruments they use. Honestly if they reused the “yyyeeeeeeaaaahhhh” from og mash destruction I would’ve like the remix better with the added lyrics.

I think it's because older games would often use live instruments and full orchestras to record musical tracks which tended to be more expressive. Whereas now, a lot of modern games tend to use synthetic or digital musical instruments to make their songs as a cost cutting measure. That's the reason a lot of remixes and arrangements tend to lack the same raw feeling as the originals.

I definitely get what you are saying I feel like Reload is a bit too futuristic instead of pure when it comes to it's music compared to FeS where it was just pure music or something like that

Also, and this isn't throwing shade on her original VA at all, but Fuuka's Reload VA is objectively better at delivering her character's lines and voice delivery. Like, Junpei was spot on and the new cast's voice direction very closely matches the tone and delivery style of the old cast (except Yukari in base Reload) but Fuuka's stands out bc there's a HUGE difference in quality that is clearly just better than the original despite how much I didn't mind her old VA's performance. Reload is just better at portr4aying Fuuka's reserved and shy nature better and doesn't come off as stiff or as robotic sounding as OG Fuuka.

Dammit, they butchered that Yukari scene a lot. Yukari's breakdown loses a lot of impact when she doesn't desperately try to take the key, and when a bunch of Yukari/Mitsuru similarities get changed to Yukari/Everyone.

Yukari not trying to grab the key was a weird change. But everything after seems perfectly fine to me.

The reason why they changed it I can only assume is a response to the original criticism of Yukari being too "bitchy" in FES. Tho that's just me speculating Granted, part of that was the English direction of FES. Cuz the original Japanese version and Reload Yukari are more intended on being more like the girl next door, your bestie kinda vibe. Meanwhile FES English directing portrayed Yukari more as this preppy, popular girl which is why she has more attitude in her delivery

kinda felt the same, I feel she she isn't angry enough cause in the old p3f, they did perfectly. they were able to all stages of grief here she kind of just skipped to the last 2 stepped, it wasnt as impactful. you can still can still tell how much she cares about the MC, but it sounds more as a friend, like she doesnt want to lose anymore people In p3f however you can REALLY tell she loved him, she loved him as woman. meaning she did more than just a friend, which is why she was so desperate, being angry at aigis, then practically begging for the key, then sobbing uncontrollably and grieving over him, and then eventually accepting it I kinda wish they just copied this scene exactly like the original, it wouldve hit SO hard with modern technology, updated voices and graphics.. the ending of reload already made me fking cry. and at the time, this scene of the answer broke me too. but unfortunately, reload answer didn't hit as hard as I hoped.. its still good though, good acting by the actress.

@gamefreakin Her collapsing without even doing it makes everything after feel a bunch less meaningful. Like, she drops to her knees because even her last desperate attempt didn't work.

yea, if alot less people stop wishing for death then erebus won't grow as big as he did, and the protagonists job as a seal won't be needed anymore but let's be honest, theres no way you can change that. that is until persona 5 lol. I don't think SEES can bring him back, but phantom thieves can definitely bring him back. they're the only ones capable of changing hearts.

I hope so, but I don't think so. Even when the day finally happens, his physical body is already no more, so the most thing that can happen is that his soul can finally rest in peace. Don't get me wrong though I do want him to be alive again but that sounds unrealistic when he has no vessel or body to return to. Now what I want to know is Elizabeth's adventure in finding a way to set his soul to be free from being a seal which I hope Atlus will include in this DLC but NO which is kinda sad for me. BUT I STILL WANT MC TO BE ALIVE AGAIN 😭
