"Bring a feature-packed, well-made saddle for a reasonable price"... It's a worthy goal. Lofty, by some standards. Did CGM hit the mark? We take a deep dive and look at all the features you get for the money in this video. #saddlehunter #saddlehunting #cgm #cgmsidewinder #cgmcobra

Jerry is one of the finest people I've dealt with in the saddle community. He and his crew build one heck of a saddle, as well

I want that stool! Makes me wonder if I can find a company that custom makes stool seats.

Like the economies of scale explanation. Weird how other companies offering less options (some using overseas manufacturing) continue to be significantly more expensive.

I am leaning towards a CGM Cobra for my first saddle purchase this year. I am torn on the waist belt though. Rope belt with sliding knot. Webbing belt with D ring buckle. Upgrade to a Raptor buckle. Upgrade to a Cobra buckle with D ring like a riggers belt for a secondary safety option… Any guidance or suggestion is appreciated. I know you like an openable bridge so I think I know what you won’t pick. 😅 Thanks

Do you like that style belt? I currently have the cobra and love it. I have the rope belt but want to change it to your standard webbing belt.

I'm a huge fan of the ADP buckles ... Cobras and Raptors. :)

What are you not liking about the rope belt? Just curious, looking to pick one up for myself. Debating on which belt to run

@@PrestonV3X it is a great belt for what it is; we are just huge proponents of having a completely openable saddle that we don’t have to step through. Huge. See our video “How To Make An Openable Bridge” as an example. 😊

@@PrestonV3X I had no major issues with it but like to be able to open up the belt so I dont have to step into the saddle. The rope honestly disappears and you don’t know you have it one.

Really interested in your view of the TX5 Minimalist? BTW.....speaking of ROI with respect to saddles isn't applicable, in the typical financial sense, unless you are buying them hoping to resell the saddles at a profit. "Getting the most for your money" is a more suitable term. ;-)

It all depends on how you look at it … if the end result of the “investment” is enjoying God’s great outdoors, clearing your mind, filling the freezer, putting another trophy on the wall … well, you can have the same result with a $350 saddle or a smaller investment of $175. If the end RESULT is the same, but one requires a smaller INVESTMENT, then one expenditure is yielding a better ROI 😉 But I know what you’re saying … and why I clarified at one point by saying “stretch your dollar further …” 😊
