I genuinely think this is one of the best Frogger games and one of the best attempts to revitalise and modernise the series for a modern gaming audience. The Ps2 frogger games attempted something similar but they often had very bland repetitive level themes, levels that were too large and expansive and monotonous puzzles. This game has a healthy amount of interesting level themes, and quick, simple reaction-based time-based platforming challenges that utilise the frogger formula well

if you have a gamecube to gameboy cable you can use it as a controller solong as the batteries are charged

Great first video game to own. Varied, was part of my favorite genre of games, and difficult with a good learning curve (minus a few hard parts for me at the beginning). It's a good pick up even today

Ah childhood I miss you weeks on weeks trying to beat this game but I did and my sister could not ha ha ha.

It took me like... 2 or 3 months to beat the game when I first got it. Now it would take probably a couple of hours at best. This game was great, but the difficulty was way out of hand. Mister D's battle was especially difficult.

You see? The GBA succeeds on doing things that every other game system ever fails miserably! There are some things like this that only work on a handheld with 16 bit graphics! And a soundchip with 2 direct sound channels also help a lot, that's much better than square-only PSG that we used to hear on handhelds before it!

Am I the only one here that uses a GBA SP as a controller for the Game Boy Player via the official GameCube Game Boy Advance Link Cable? With that out of the way, this is a game I have had since the Christmas I got my original GBA. I remember holding up the box after I ripped of the wrapping paper. I still have both of them and a couple of the games I got that day. I never could get my head around it then. Maybe I should give it another chance.. I kind of want to pop this into my Game Boy Player now and use my original GBA as the controller but I too don't want to get up.

Dude... I'm *SO* sorry that you played this game - or almost any Frogger game - with an analog stick. That is literally impossible. Of course you're gonna have frustrations with the game if you're playing it that way.

Donovan Boykins I did. It sounded like he just didn't like the story/VAs and the gameplay problems were mostly secondary. Which is a shame because tile-based platforming is a genre that is sorely underrepresented in games.
