It was a particular subset/variant of the 737. The unfortunate part: Boeing fixed the issue, but the fix was offered not as a fix, but as an optional add-on, so some countries' airlines didn't purchase the fix/"add-on," hence the two crashes.

About 1,100 decibels creating a black hole he was talking theoretically, basically the math works out to this result. He wasn't trying to imply it's possible to do just that if it were possible to make a sound that loud it would rip time and space apart. Good thing it's not possible.

Anyone who actually tries to prove it should be arrested because if it's correct we will no longer exist to brag about the success...

And oh you think that cool ass picture of them hovering like that. The most famous one, was in Afghanistan and was a reserve pilot and crew. You want to see CH-47 Chinooks and CH-53’s the USMC’s heavy lift helo doing cool shit, look up each airframe “doing the rover boat queen” I won’t say anymore so as to not spoil it for those who don’t know, any of you who do know, shut the fuck up about it, except telling people who don’t know, to look up and watch it. Haha. USMC vet here, so cool to watch either bird doing that.

The russians have a torpedo that does super cavitation. The problem is that the bubbles interfere with tracking.

We use sound as an analog for some experiments. Trying to validate the possibility of Hawkins radiation. It doesn't prove anything but it can help with the math.

I’m not 100% sure but supersonic is the speed of sound. The speed of sound is slower underwater. The speed of sound is determined by multiple factors so supersonic underwater isn’t as fast as supersonic in the air

i think they mean as a reference as in supersonic as in air speed. underwater speed of sound is near 5 times more and even before that you would have phenomena like supercavitation that would vaporize water and that point you are just in gas rather than liquid.

Well part of the Boeing thing, no I don’t work for them, nor have I ever worked for or been paid by them, the 737…was fine. Till they upgraded the engines, and people made mistakes, in actually fixing it and the attempts to fix it, in the modern world. Where a headline can start and spread world wide in literally seconds. It was definitely mishandled, in all ways by them. As the door thing, and other purely maintenance issues, they can’t be blamed for 50 yr old airframes wearing out and failing. They are a manufacturer, it’s the responsibility and duty of the end user/operator to properly inspect, repair and do PM’s, including destruction tests at times, on limited things that are having issues, not the manufacturer who made a product that worked as flawlessly as you could ask for for decade after decade, of the airlines getting greedier and greedier, cutting maintenance times and actions, and cramming more and more people and cargo into them then they were ever intended to carry, safely and regularly. So they could have a larger profit margin at the end of the year, all those issues are soley on the airlines. Everyone is honestly being super unfair to Boeing, on some/a lot of the current issues. They delivered a working. Safe product, the end users made it unsafe by neglect and greed, and they were built so well, they worked for decade after decade, after decade before major failures occurred, with less and less maintenance done to them. Less and less money being spent on them. By the companies that run them. People don’t generally know this, the US military has used the 737 airframe for a decade to almost two longer than the civilian world. They don’t have the same problems, because they are fanatical about maintenance procedures and inspections, even willing to do destructive testing if deemed necessary. And they aren’t greedy, the ones flying and fixing, using them, or even above them, don’t make fortunes off of what they do, it’s a bunch of young kids, with some old, experienced guys teaching them at all levels, and if they fail. They are killing their buddies on that bird. And other Americans they are supporting, that’s the difference, in most cases, the planes are perfectly fine, they just need thorough inspects and maintenance/overhaul cycles to be scheduled and done. They are truly world class aircraft even 40-70 years later, look at the B-52, its upgraded variants will most likely hit over a century of active service and still be used in shooting wars, they is utterly insane, for a gigantic bomber made in the 1950’s. Amd guess what, that’s a Boeing, but they are impeccably inspected and maintained/repaired. No expense spared, cause the DOD don’t give a shit about a profit margin. All that being said. Yes Boeing made mistakes in how they handled, or tried to handle the engine upgrade and software/nose dive issues o. The 737, you won’t catch me going to bat for them on that one, ever. For those who want to know, I worked on AH-1W’s and UH-1N helicopters the Super Cobra attack helicopter and the Huey, utility helicopter, respectively, half of my squadrons airframes first flew and fought in Vietnam, they were all made in the 1960’s, to very early 70’s, the Vietnam ones, the others we had originally were either destroyed in combat, or transferred to stand up other squadrons that only needed aircraft, they had personnel, so to help film them out, they took some of ours, to make them barely operational and drop our capabilities a little, as it was more beneficial to have more squadrons, then a couple full strength ones, as the replacement birds were not far off, then they had multiple full strength squadrons at once, instead 1 1/2 more. Our birds worked fine, granted, that was bell, later bell-textron. That made them, but we didn’t blame bell when we finally changed out original parts after failing. The oldest one I changed, was on a Huey, that part was made in 1965, never been replaced, or repaired, I finally had to pull and send off for repair, in early 2010, that was 45 years of constant use, from Vietnam to Iraq, multiple times, being on a MEU, get flown all over the US, not too mention the unnameable levels and places of combat it seen, across the planet. Older Boeing. The same exact way, except the 737 fiasco after upgrades and failures on many levels.
