Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), an initiative by the Government of India and SIDBI, is a trust which provides the financial institutions with cred guarantee to offer loans to SMEs and MSMEs.
The key feature of the scheme is to create a robust credit relief system that can promote a better credit flow to the SME and MSME sector in India.
The members who lend to SME and MSME sectors are eligible for a maximum credit cap of Rs 2 crores, and the NBFC can also be the member of the lending institution eligible for the CGTMSE Scheme.

The application process is incumbent upon the lender to apply for eligible credit facilities as and when sanctioned. There will be a CGTMSE fee applicable on the commencement day.
The MSME and SME sector contributes about 30% of the GDP in India and employs more than ten crore people as per conservative estimate. Considering the facts faced by the in accessing credit facility, the CGTMSE is a proven way of resolving hurdles by allowing lenders to be liberal in extending credit.

Sir I am from Bhubaneswar Odisha here 100% Nationalize Bank and also Private bankers say we don't give any CGTMS loan we only want first party guarantee and first party security. I think it very rejected scheme and worst scheme
