As a former Marine Corp drill instructor, it amazes me the monumental effort, the precision and super human feat that it took to execute and accomplish this parade. In fact it is so amazing that I can assure you american troops could not accomplish nor even come close to anything as seen here. I am not disrespecting America or our troops so please stop with the but we could still whoop them, or that I somehow lack loyalty, I served for over 2 decades. I am just giving kudos to an amazingly executed parade.

Omg most amazing marching I have ever seen. Shoes tapping sound, uniform, precision of each step, even the height! Everything close to perfection. Someone might say even they can march damn well great but can they protect the country? But without the strong persistence,great effort and determination, there is no way to train the soldiers to make such a perfect moves. The soldiers are well trained and they will be strong in any circumstances.

I lived in China for 6 years, and being at this great event was the highlight of my stay. I left a month later. There is no other army in the world that can march the way the Chinese do. Their precision is simply unbelievable. The enormous amount of time and effort and training for these events is staggering, and by Western standards, brutal. And this is why no Western country can ever win a land war in Asia. It's not in our DNA to give the 200% that is required for battle operations, to endure the inhuman conditions, to be inhumanly brutal to the enemy, or to understand that if you choose to fight, you are then required to win. China continues to show the world how it's done, in everything they undertake. Are they perfect? Of course not. But they have achieved a system of governance that, while by Western standards is considered "violative of personal freedoms", is anything but. To be perfectly honest, I felt freer and under much less "state supervision" than when I lived in the US. Congratulations China on your continuing successes in your space program. The American Heyday has long since passed. China has picked up the standard and is carrying it with pride and distinction. I'm very much looking forward to my visit again in a few months.

FYI: each step is 75 cm in distances. The whole goose step process is 90 meters long and 120 steps, tolerance +_3 steps. Our soldiers have trained 6 months before marching.

The Olympics (Opening and Closing) was something that the world will never forget and be grateful for, ThankYou for the 'Once in a Lifetime Experience'. This Military Parade reminded me of the hard work and preparation that went into the wonderful program that amazed the world when you hosted the Olympics. I hope someday we can realize that we are all made from the same creator with the gift of a Soul fueled by Love and a true common instinct that wishes for happiness and well being for all the people of the Earth. We are all Family and of the same race...the Human Race. The children of the world should inherit a world that has been improved upon from the previous generation. We are only custodians of this spectacular place we get to live on, we are so very fortunate to have such a planet. It is up to our leaders to get it together and give future generations a planet that shows it was given the respect it deserves and that Earths population has evolved into a family that made it all happen, learning from the past and working together to provide a future that can be proudly handed down from generation to generation. There are no bad people on Earth, only bad Souls. Everyone knows (from deep in our Soul) that if we live a good life that we can live forever, but if choose to live a bad life, then we will die when we die. I've done 10 years in the french military and had the honor of parading 3 times down the champs élysées on 14th of july. I was with engineer troops and paraded on foot each time. We were good, but not THAT good compared to PLA. Incredible display of precision and discipline. Well done China.

Ivan Josipovic The main supporter of the Khmer Rouge after 1973 was China. when the Khmer Rouge provoked Vietnam with many attacks along the Vietnam-Cambodian border, it was perceived by Vietnam as China's efforts to encircle and isolate Vietnam even more than it already had been. Moreover, the fact that China and the US had strengthened their ties during this time made Vietnam all the more wary of China's true intention. Vietnam didn't trust China anymore, so it decided to sign a mutual defense treaty with the Soviet Union, removed the Khmer Rouge issue to support a less hostile government toward Vietnam. This, in turn, was perceived by China as direct disobedience from Vietnam ... China got angry and decided to punish Vietnam. This is basically the story that led to Vietnam's invasion of Cambodia and China's invasion of Vietnam. In conclusion, the Khmer Rouge was pro-China and hostile to Vietnam, and that's a weird choice to make.
