Kenyan farmers are seeking assistance from soil scientists to combat acidic soil caused by some chemical fertilizers. Data shows that 63 percent of Kenya’s arable land is acidic. While soil testing has offered respite for farmers, agricultural experts recommend transitioning from industrial to sustainable farming methods such as crop rotation to address the problem.
