Imagine a bicycle blender that can not only grind corn but also make shampoo. It’s an invention that’s helping improve people’s lives in Guatemala.
For this week’s Game Changer meet the founder of Maya Pedal...Mario Juanes.
Mario Juanes is a Mayan Indian activist who lives in the remote highlands of Western Guatemala where having access to electricity and running water is not always easy. And that has a direct impact on people’s health and economic well-being.
So, Mario found an ingenious solution which involves pedal-powered machines and the power of human motion. It's changing the lives of thousands of people.
Mario is working to make the Maya Pedal concept available in countries other than Guatemala as well.
