Guys, serios question. When all the textures located in the folder Textures, and you linking this folders from sofa, chairs, table... etc libraries to 3ds max - you recieveing above 100k texture files inside of this folders, so when 3ds max start to merge anything, or missing the textures, it starts to search through this huge amount of files and it can take a lot of time, no? So the question is - sata hdd will be able to search through all this textures (it can be 100 - 1kk of files) to find the right ones? Can somebody show some speed testing of this?

Hi Andrew! Thank you for your interest in NAG ALL software! Regarding your question, if you follow the "Default" option of maps collection and if you have an HDD SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM, this will be enough to have this linking process happen with satisfying speed. We have tested thousands of files following the same method with no problem. For relinking your textures in the fastest way, we usually recommend using the relink bitmaps script for 3ds Max or using Project Manager by Kstudio. By the way, in our recent release, if you want not to have one big folder containing all the maps, you could choose "Option 1" in case your library has unique names. This configuration will link your maps to the related 3ds Max files in seconds. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions!
