Binge watched this playlist in one sitting. I had tears of joy when I saw the growth and impact of this project after just one year. I feel like leaving my boring 9-5 job and doing this all day. This is a true inspiration. The quality of the content is phenomenal. The attention to detail in every aspect of the process is truly commendable. The knowledge shared in this series is equivalent to the 4 year engineering degree that I did. I will definitely re-watch this series and make copious notes. Afforestt you have won my heart. I will do this one day, that is my promise! The world needs this now more than ever. ❤❤

I watched/listened to this entire series today because I’m just so excited to see how this process unfolds in my city (Albuquerque, NM). I have just started my own native tree nursery and know a few others have as well. We are learning these methods and building our supply of seedlings, as well as planting some to get some practice. Thank you so much for everyone’s efforts to build a better world for the future. I also really appreciate that you made the point that these forests in no way replace old growth forests. I hope to walk in a forest here soon.

Hi I am your followers I saw almost all your blogs/videos/website . I am happy that people like you returning back to India helps to our Mother Nature. I am thankful to you and appreciate your support. Thanks for explaining each step by step. I have couple of questions hope you can help me to understand 1.With regards to native species in Indian we have different regions ( East, west , north and south) can we use southern species to northern land? 2.100 sft how can we plan tress with different types (fruits/vegetables/herbs….) 3. Can we do same in rooftop in an apartment? If yes how the growth will be? Thanks in advance !!

I only have an answer to your last question about growing a forest on a rooftop. I do not see this being possible because the depth of the soil necessary for native tree roots, especially any with long taproots, would be prohibitively heavy. I can’t imagine a building could hold that much weight for even just a few trees… I suppose I also have an answer to your first question too about species from other areas of the country. I believe the species are supposed to be native to that area, regardless of whether they happen to be in the same country or state or continent. So I think you would only want to use species that are native to that exact climate, elevation, rainfall, latitude, temperature, etc. In one of the first videos he discusses surveying a local forest to see which plants. Hope some of this is helpful, happy planting!

Hi, Firstly thank you. How would we monitor carbon capture within our Forest? Also, Would you advise fruit yeilding trees/plants to be included within the 4 levels? Rgds.

the trees to plant would typically be ones found in the area. so if there are fruit-bearing trees, then yes you would plant them.
