Because our eyes are more sensitive towards blue color, rather than violet. So we mainly see the blue color.

sir i doubt: When a ray of light is passed through a hollow glass prism, it does not give spectrum. Explain why

When the prism is hollow, there is no medium of glass in between, then how will light deviate ? Beech me to air hogi saari, air me thori na light bend hogi. Book says that light bends at the surface, but the fact is, the whole GLASS MEDIUM of the prism, gradually bends the light. If glass will be absent Inside, then obviously, there will be no bending, and colors will not separate and you will not see any spectrum.

Sir why sun seems to be red..when sunrise or sunset is appearing..?

this is because during sunrise and sunset, the sunrays (or light rays) have to travel the LONGESTTT distance. [during midday sunrays travel the shortest distance] so by the time the light reaches our eyes, a lot of scattering would be done for the other colors. Red having the longest wavelength does not get scattered that much and thus reaches us.
