Generally speaking Taiwanese can live on their own toil in the big cities once they leave the schools or colleges but when it comes to buying their own houses or apartments few young people can afford it without financial support from their parents because the prices of real estates have risen 3 times since 20 years ago when the average salary is almost the same as 20 years ago. Yes the minimum wage in Taiwan is almost raised every year but the minimum wage in law is basically for foreign workers and few Taiwanese employees benefit from it. If you want to lose your weight you probably have to eat more vegetables, fruits or protein in lieu of eating starchy foods for breakfast which are pretty prevalent in the eateries in Taiwan.
