Agreed my late lau tio is from one part of teo sua regions. When he speaks i could only understand 5%. My late grandad and his sister lau kou has root in kekyo - chiek yang, now residing in swatauw. I got no problem understanding them, when they speak. Another one, is those from teo yeoh - chao yang. When they speaks sound like they are singing.. like the tone of the hakka.
