@Rufaida Ammar Oh, shoot sorry I didn't see this until now. Um, so Kaito was made from the ground up just to serve as backup for Meiko essentially. Every part of him was carefully designed to go well with her. His name was picked to sound and look good beside hers, his voice, his character design, personality, all of it. And yet, when he came out and hit the stores, he sold abysmally, like the worst he possibly could. So he was deemed a commercial failure by the company. They assumed male voices in general were not what people wanted to buy, and focused on making more female ones, like Miku, Rin and Luka. Pretty sure the only reason we got Len was because he was bundled with his sister Rin. But anyway, eventually people started trying Kaito out after Miku came out and everyone started learning about Vocaloid because of her. They began using Kaito with her because they thought their different age ranged and opposite gender voices complemented each other and allowed them to make more stories with their songs, and Kaito began to sell well, so much so that he outsold Meiko, and eventually he became more popular than Meiko in general, the one he was made to be the back up for. And now for his anniversary he got that whole orchestra thing and his own mascot costume walking around, but I have never seen a Meiko mascot costume and she never got an orchestra, even though she was the first Japanese Vocaloid ever made. So basically, he was made to be second fiddle to Meiko, and he was at first, because he sold like crap, but then he outsold her and now most people like him and only use Meiko for her sex appealing big boobs. Kaito gets nice things, and Meiko gets ignored.

@@Sakachi18 Um, that's not entirely true 💀 His name is based on his voice provider's name, not to match Meiko. And Meiko is still pretty successful as far as vocaloids go, not as much as Miku and Luka, but she's there. And where did you hear people didn't like male voice banks 💀 Len's dirty songs were literally all the rage during the 2010s, Fukase and Flower vocaloids were a MASSIVE success, and they all have voice banks as updated as Miku's. I get that you're trying to explain how Kaito usurped the evil Meiko to become a beloved fan favourite (idk why you seem to hate her tbh) the fact is like a lot of great things from the past, people came to like it with time.

Im listening to this boi once again and as we all know Kaito is quite difficult to mix and tune but i just kept listening to this and like If the producer just know how to use kaito really well Kaito just gives this very like either very flexible voice /music he could Grand or Pop and also could be for like dark music too, just Kaito so damn good!!! seriously in like songs about princess, prince or fairy talw esque music he really freaking fits!

It's not really tuning, but his voice is still very far on Beta, and it's a bit harder to make a male voice work better on an synth engine than a female one (due to research leaning toward females, and high pitch voice being omnipresent within the community) so i think he will sound way better in the future when they'll polish the engine even more--
